My entry to the Bio-Cup 2020 Preliminaries! Theme is “Future”.
This was an immensely fun build which took me to places I don’t often tread, in terms of design language and shaping. Rather than creating an OC with loads of lore and stuff like in 2018, or insisting on making a 3D model and sacrificing texture like last year, the focus here was on making the above shot look as good as possible.
Lots of debate over whether to have the hands visible or not (since Aku seems to just form arms and merge them back into his body on a whim in the show), and which eyes to use. I’m much more fond of the mixel eyes and he’s definitely keeping those on display lol
