An easy solution to the leg problem

toa use normal legs, and matoran use hobbit legs (kids wont care /s)

If they don’t care about the hobbit legs, why would they care about the woody legs?

“Hobbit legs” have had printing before:

“Hobbit Legs” are more familiar, and are not being used for the main characters.

I stand corrected.

Make these for the Matoran

What’s the problem with that?

Really It gives Kahi his poseability and Eljay his height.

so it’s his fault that the matoran have to look shorter? dang it Eljay, it would look so good if they all just uswd the regular legs and we reserved the short legs for the turaga…

Turaga aren’t a concept in this.

Both the Hobbit legs and the Woody legs will always look off proportionately to the torso. That’s because the torso is made proportionately for the default leg size, and shortening or elongating that size by essentially halving or doubling it will, obviously, just not look as good.

The power of the Toa is a mantle given to Matoran. They do not become Turaga when that power is taken away from them, they would revert to Matoran, much like Thor without his hammer. But the mantle is generally only given, not taken away. The Toa’s mantle would be passed on if they were needed and the previous Toa were dead.

Yeah, I see your point, but we’ve still seen Hobbit legs way more then we’ve seen Woody legs in set form. Proportional or not, people are still going to be more accustomed to the shorter Hobbit legs then the longer Woody legs.

That, is an excellent idea! Way better than woody legs!

The only reason Woody looks proportionate is because of the size of his head. But a regular minfigure head looks ridiculous on a woody figure

Maybe we need a new custom torso…

the head will still be too small

We could go the whole knights kingdom II route, that theme gets a lot of hate because people found them to colorful and their slightly over sized helmets.

They discussed that on the podcast. I believe they came to the conclusion that they’re not actually shorter when you stand them next to a regular minifig.

They are shorter. The issue was that they were too different from the standard minifigure to the point of not even looking like they’re from the same species.

That doesn’t look too bad.

Ah, my mistake.
