Sherlock is pretty great.
I’ve almost finished Season 4.
I’ve read several of the Sir Arthur stories, and I’ve seen the RDJ Sherlock movies. Not too sure about the modern setting of the BBC show though.

Back in the day, I loved this show
I still really like the first two or three seasons
But season 4, particularly the last episode, really didn’t measure up for me
I dunno if I want them to make another season eventually, or quit while they’re still kind of ahead

It did start out really well. Imo, the big issues in season 4 were focusing less on mystery-solving than the early seasons, exploiting Moriarty’s character for views after he’d had his day, and becoming too ungrounded in reality. I think you’ll see what I mean, but I don’t want to spoil anything lol.
