Eh I was speaking more of “Oh look, just 2 connector pieces to bring together the two then you just stick what you want where you want it”. Reminds me of something transformers-y

So can anyone who interprets these better than me tell if there is a way for the Creature’s heads to clip on? Or are they kind of loose?
i think they clip onto the sides of the toa’s masks like this:

No. The brain stalk is the same. It just got chopped down from the pictures. But you can see there are pictures where it shows the mask launcher function
