"What're you lot doing outside the kingdom walls?" Avya inquired, landing beside them.
"Isn't it obvious, we're poor"
"They don't normally just kick people out for being poor, though, most of the time they keep the poor out, attempting to make their ways out of debt through labour or the likes,"
"I guess I'm part of the unfortunate, even after all those years of serving the monarch and next thing you know they throw you out over a leg!"
"What a time to be alive," Avya's words bled of sarcasm.
"I happen to be not kicked out of the kingdom"
Tree tilts his head to the side.
"Then what're y' doin' out here?"
"Unless you're planning to taunt the unfortunate..."
Tree looks at the new being. He looks at the ground and kicks it softly.
Avya turned her attention to Tree, "Y'don't see many Ents outside the forest, what're you doing this far out?"
He softly kicks the ground again, looking at the ground
"Yeah, the soil's not all that fertile out here, it's better to the far East, but you've gotta cross the desert to get there."
Tree looks at Avya for a while, his mono eye not being the most expressive thing in this world.
Fay walked out of darkened building, smiling after her most recent sale. She was still getting used to what these surface dwellers called the "criminal underworld" especially this "trafficking" thing that they seemed to love there. It didn't matter anyway; as long as she got paid enough she'd do just about anything. She jumped into a nearby river, her tail reforming as she traveled quickly upstream to the nearby kingdom.
Tree conviently felt thirsty, and started walking to the nearest riverbank. He stands on the riverbank, and absorbs water.
"I guess I'm following you since I have no where else to go"
Tree stares at him from the riverbank.
"Is that a yes or no?"
