Ryko walked up next to Sarah, folding his arms.
Lillan stood in front of the group silently.
âAs ye see, we have more help now.â She says, gesturing to Sean, Hans, and Lillian. âAnd theyâve brought tâmy attention that we shouldnât be fightinâ for Marsada.â She continues, starting to pace around as well. âItâs ourselves we should be fightinâ fer. Think about it, whatâs Marsada ever done fer us?â She asks, letting the question sink in for a second. âIâll tell ya, long ago, they took our lands from us. We were never Marsadan, weâre the capital of Kena, the long lost country they and Nikidia stole away from her people, and I plan on bringinâ her back.â She takes a pause. âNow, it ye donât stand by me in this, yer free to leave. I wonât judge. Just know, that our nation wonât treat ye like dirt, like the Marsada anâ Nikidia do fer us here on their border.â She looks around, and two or three people leave, but the rest decide to stay. âNow, Iâm headinâ out a town fer a bit, tâtry anâ get support from some other nations. We canât do this alone.â She tells them. âAnâ the old man here, Sean, 'll be in charge while Iâm gone. I expect ye to make our presence known.â She says, smiling, then steps away. âThank ye fer yer time. Seanâll contact ye once he has a plan fer whatâche do in my absence.â
Ryko nodded.
âAnd give them heck for us, too.â He added, smiling grimly.
Lillan stood silently, listening and watching.
Sarahâs shoulders slump. She sighs. âAlright. Now, ready to go?â She asks.
Blud grins,
âWe are!â
Moenir sighs, partly happy to be heading home.
Lillan nods. âYes, maâam.â
Ryko folds his arms. âIâve been ready.â He loads his pistols and straightens his bandolier.
âGood.â Sarah says, turning to Blud. âLead thâway.â
Blud walks over to the rowboat,
âTo the Moonlit Knife we go, on to Gathens!â
Sarah followed.
Blud and Moenir got onto the rowboat, and Blud invited whoever else planned to come with them.
âUmâŚsure? Long as ye follow us.â Sarah told Lillian.
Blud takes the rowboat over to the Moonlit Knife. It was a smaller vessel designed to be one of the quickest ships on the sea, as pirates need a quick escape for unspoken reasons.
Lillan nodded and ran over to another section of the dock, where a small boat was bobbing. It had one single mast with a large sail, and several crates scattered over the deck. Lillan stepped onto it and took it over near the Moonlit Knife.
Sarah admired the large vessel. âQuite a niceân, I must say.â She says to him.
Blud grins widely and almost dances.
âThank you, lass.â
Moenir goes to the railing and looks at the sea.
he whispers to himself,
âMuch better.â
Once they eventually get to the ship, Sarah explores the deck a bit.
Blud smiles and calls out to one of his shipmates,
âJen! how fairs the seas?â
Jenkins smiles.
âBy the honor that you made me boatswain, weâre ready to sail anytime capt!â
Ryko leans on the railing. âHavenât been on one of these bad boys in a long timeâŚâ He mused.
Lillan expertly guided his own small craft after the larger one.
Sarah listened to them. âGood.â She said, looking westwards. âWe need tâget tâGathens soon as we can.â She said to them both. âIf ye could.â
