GENERAL INFORMATION:
This is the first custom Star Wars ship design of mine I have posted here. It is the DI/GECO CR-4096A Sagitta-class Battlecruiser. I have classified this design as a “battlecruiser” based on the Anaxes War College System (found here). The Sagitta-class is designed to be an all purpose capital ship. With massive hanger bays on both the dorsal and ventral sides of the ship, an abundance of weapons emplacements of many types, and heavy armor and shields, it can be a launching platform for starfighter operations and still hold its own against attacking capital ships.
The hanger bays are this battlecruiser’s biggest weakness in my opinion, as even though it they have a lot of point-defense laser cannons surrounding them to protect against torpedo attacks and enemy starfighters trying to get into the hangers, they become vulnerable to turbolaser fire once the shields go down. The dorsal hanger bays are a little hidden behind ship superstructure, though, so they aren’t quite as vulnerable. The main bridge is also somewhat vulnerable, as it is located at the front of the top-most superstructure.

-NOTE: Point-defense laser cannons and proton torpedo guidance systems are controlled by the ship’s computer. All ship guns can be controlled by the ship’s computer if need be, but this will make the computer struggle to do its other tasks.
COMPLEMENT SHIPS (Starfighers, shuttles, transports, etc.): Varies from ship to ship; Standard starfighter complement is 10 squadrons. If carrying only T-65 X-Wing starfighters, its maximum capacity is 216 X-Wings (18 squadrons).
MAIN HANGER BAYS: Dozens of small and medium hanger bays on the dorsal side, one large hanger on ventral hull.
CARGO CAPACITY: 80,070 metric tons (Not counting all complementary ships and food/water supplies)

VARIANTS:
-4096Z: Stronger shields, armor, and engines, as well as a DG-HD-7261-53 Class 0.9 primary hyperdrive with 2 DG-HD-7243-43 Class 1.5 backup drives. Costs 391,250,000 credits.
NOTE: Although not ideal, can fly in a planetary atmosphere.
