FINALLY FINISHED WITH THE STUPID CALENDAR THING I’M SO HAPPY
I CAN DRAW OTHER THINGS NOW YAY
If I could use something that’s not GIMP I would’ve added so much detail to all of those drawings.
Unfortunatelly
I had to use a stupid photo manipulation program that doesn’t work for drawing things out of scratch.
Yeah
Looking back
I’m rly happy with where I am now.
I still have much to improve of course.
I’m currently working on trying to refine my coloring skills to give stuff texture.
So you have something to look forward to If I don’t forget to post things
Drew this thing hoping to learn new stuff.
I actually did and it makes me happy.
I also had an image of a foggy forest inside my mind, but it’s less saturated than this drawing. I made it more saturated for the sake of composition to have more different shades present here so stuff wouldn’t look samey.
That’s really pretty! I like how you made it dark enough to be mysterious but colorful enough to still seem inviting. If I had to offer a criticism, I’d say it could use a little extra something that sticks out. Maybe a flying bunny.
Just put some thought into your scribbles. Think about where the fabric is being pulled and where it’s supported, and draw a line between the points.
In this case the cape is being supported from the shoulders and the advancing person is dragging the cape onwards. The hem of the cloak flaps behind as it catches resistance from the air and catching momentum later on from being further away from the point of support.
Cloaks, tablecloth and drapes have probably the easiest folds to draw. I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it soon enough if you put your mind into it.
