Will be interesting to see, but my bet is that the third game will feature you playing as the currently unknown ‘phone guy’ his role seems to be what connects the two games together.

I’m really hoping that the third installment could be a more Alien Isolation-style game. Perhaps the plot could be about the restaurant’s reopening inside a mall. During the night, you, the night guard have to patrol the Mall and also evade the animations. I doubt the creator of Five Nights could make such a game on his own, but I can dream…
