Delovo's mammoth sounded like a fist pounding on dry macaroni as is crawled further backward into the second level. The Brute bones crunching beneath them were like a chorus of snaps, and the wheels had long been stained maroon.
"Delovo, this is my last flight. I'm throwing everything we have at them, get back to the generators." Colonel Sarbannes said.
"Colonel, what are you doing!?" Delovo asked as his remaining shortswords soared overhead. Banshees quickly began to swarm overhead, starting a dogfight with the bombers. That was when Sarbannes' Saber Is joined the battle, tearing the enemy air detachment apart. The Saber I had long since been retired from UNSC use, but the LR had use of them. As ground units attempted to down the fighters, they were chewed to pieces by a couple wings of Hornets.
"Daylight, we are pulling back to the primary generators. We recommend you do the same." Delovo said.
"But the civilian centers, General." Sky said.
"I have seen my fair share of fights... We'll all die either way." Delovo said. "It's just a matter of how. We lose this shield and hell comes down. We lose the civilians... Less things to worry about in our last stand." Delovo reasoned.
"Fine. We're coming to the generators." Sky said.
