Heroes of the Storm

So…anybody else going for this? It’s currently downloading on my computer. I’m pretty hyped. I may not play WoW, or really any Blizzard games (although I did some Hearthstone last night, it’s an interesting time killer), but I’m pretty interested to see how all the players from different games fit in together.

They go surprisingly well, although I’m having issues when Nazeebo says to Raynor to heal up… That is real funny. Malfurion-Raynor combo: “This Medic is my new best friend.” I smirk a lot in this game, and, although MOBAs aren’t my place, I really enjoy fiddling around with this particular game.

I love it.
Though I don’t play it a lot. Solo queue can be a horrible experience (like in every MOBA), but I see people being more chill than in other games like LoL or DotA.
If you have friends (sighs forever alone…) it’s a wonderful game.
I love how every hero has a difficulty level (easy, medium, hard and very hard) and it’s really accurate. The game itself is easy to pick up on and the more you play it the more you understand when it’s time to do certain objectives.
It’s heavily team based. It means that you can’t carry your team. Your team has to work together to win so if one of the team members is a troll or very bad at the game you can consider yourself defeated.
Anyways if any of you want to play with me feel free C:. I’m on NA servers littledropletdrago@gmail.com.

If you join the Eu server, we could play a match or two in the evening (for me it’s evening, for you it’s lunchtime… timezones FTW)…

Well, although it may not be now, due to the fact that I’m leaving my house in a few minutes and probably won’t be coming back long enough to hang out until quite some time later (not actually sure when), but if you feel like it, I could probably go on a run with you. Got to play with @Wolfanon_Moonshadow yesterday, Yay another thing he’ll never answer C: and it was pretty fun. Played as Valla (I think that’s her name, some sort of demon hunter with dual crossbows @_@), and it was quite enjoyable.

Battlefield of Eternity is a great map.

sniffs

It’s also pretty fun to see how different and varied all the maps can be. No two maps seem to be the same.

Now all they need is a CoOp campaign and they’re set for good cx

Luckily for you I’m not from northern America or southern America. I’m from Europe. I just accidentally made an NA account thus I also have an EU account .
@Ekorak
I would loooove to :DDDD
I usually play as Kerrigan <3 or Diabro (Diablo lol I just love calling him that).

Come and let’s kick some butts, then.

I have been playing Heroes of the Storm since I was invited to the Technical Alpha. It’s loads of fun, and I still enjoy playing it to this day. It’s very satisfying and relaxing.

Quite so.

Wolf and I recently picked this back up. I currently rotate between Li-Ming (Master skin! owo), Johanna (When die when you can not?), and Valla (A little bit of both worlds). When I need support I head over to Auriel is well, because as far as I’m concerned she’s the best support I can play.

Also Alarak.

Alarak is excellent.

I have played precisely three games with that dwarf dude.

They where against AI, but it was pretty chill…

I have… 10 mains. I like playing Warrior, and I swap between warriors depending on what I want. I pick Arthas if I want to be a durable CC train with good damage. I pick Tyrael if I want to play a low risk high reward kind of gameplay, where I charge in face to the wall. I play E.T.C. if I want to play a more support style warrior, particularly if there’s a melee assassin (especially Alarak) on my team. I play Leoric when I want to be a spooky scary skel- ahem when I want to be an overpowered piece of- ahem EXCUSE ME. I pick Leoric when I want to be a strong pusher, chaser, initiator, escape artist, be effectively invincible, mobile, and of course, deal absurd amounts of damage.

I also play lots of assassins, but by far the most fun I’ve had is while playing Calamity build Li-Ming. I love surprising other assassins in 1v1s by jumping on top of them and proving I’m a wizard by making their health bar magically disappear.

I think Gazlowe is a fun specialist, and is the only one I play. I may pick up Abathur eventually (mostly because of the Pajamathur skin).

I play two supports. Tassadar, because I don’t have to worry about my teammates being good enough to carry me (and because Mecha Tassadar is the best thing ever created), and Tyrande, because sometimes it’s fun to be a machinegun support.

Ah yes, Alarak.

The melee assassin who will decide “you are all unworthy,” and obliterate the entire enemy team in ten seconds flat if you give him the right opportunities.

Also he punishes Sgt. Hammer for existing which is pretty great.

He was my second level ten character and second most played character overall. :stuck_out_tongue:

Not quite sure why picking Calamity Li-Ming is a thing that happens. Sure, Teleport is a nice escape…but if you go for the full on delete build, you can’t survive close combat against…uh, pretty much anybody except Murky or Abathur. Most Heroes can punish you for existing anywhere except a save distance away. Then again I play the Li-Ming who sits back and snipes half the enemy team down before running in and Disintegrating the rest, then walks away with highest Siege/Hero damage, kills, EXP contribution and no deaths, because I’m an opportunistic vulture who takes no risks :stuck_out_tongue:

(I may be a bit obsessed with her playstyle owo)

The Dominance trait helps you survive, and this build is designed around killing ranged assassins and absurdly fast waveclear. In fact, most skillshot based characters will get destroyed by Calamity build, because they simply can’t hit you.

Interesting. I’m assuming it goes for Aether Walker at level 1, or Force Armor?

My typical builds revolve around either Magic Missiles or Arcane Orb exclusively. Level 1 is almost always Astral Presence in my builds because it means you can pretty much always cast your powers, and minimizes the time you have to spend in your base. Past that, each revolves entirely around their specific Talents, with the Magic Missiles build going for Mirrorball at 16 rather than Fireflies.

Pretty much I focus on deleting characters before they know what happens. Both have pretty slow waveclear until 20 with Archon: Pure Power pretty much being her ultimate siege tool and area denial.

Aether Walker is typically best, because it helps you clear waves without spending a single drop of mana. I prefer to grab Disintegrate over Wave of Force, because it gives you versatility in teamfights on a low cooldown, and more importantly, it’s very useful for finishing off low targets and triggering Dominance, allowing you to stay in fights longer than you arguably should be able to. I like Mirrorball over Fireflies, because it’s better for pushing and for point-blank burst damage, though Diamond Skin isn’t a bad idea if you want to play it a little more safe (but if you’re playing Calamity Li-Ming, let’s be honest, you’re committing to being risky). At level 20, I typically grab Temporal Flux, because it’s good for chasing and finishing off enemies. I almost always use Disintegrate only if I know someone will die shortly after, because with this build you want to keep Disintegrate off cooldown and proc Dominance as much as you can. There are variations to it, but that’s how I typically play her.

I don’t think I’ve ever gone for anything other than Archon: Pure Power. Infinite sustained high-damage death rays with more range than any tower in the game and zero mana cost is a bit too good for me to pass up. Also some of the fastest minion wave clear, even beating out Johanna’s full E-W-Q combo if they’re lined up closely enough.

The rest seems pretty good, might have to try it sometime when I get tired of my other builds (if it happens :P).

Well, if you use Disintegrate to kill people, there’s no cooldown anyway, so Archon isn’t that big a deal. Also, I believe the Archon beam is technically weaker. Also, fun fact, Calamity insta-kills creep waves with a single cast, so Archon isn’t Li-Ming’s best waveclear.

Nah Archon’s beam is literally a carbon copy of the normal Disintegrate. I’ve tested it, believe me. The value I get out of it is applying infinite pressure from the sidelines of a team fight, and being a siege monster that catches up over a hundred thousand siege damage in the last five minutes of a game. In addition, you can use it without needing to kill somebody to refresh the cooldown.

Didn’t know that about Calamity though. Still not enough to make me take it over a different talent, but it is quite useful actually.

Typically the 60% slow makes up for having to rely on getting kills, but with the Calamity build, you want to focus on proc’ing your passive anyway because of the Dominance trait. Also, Calamity insta-kills ranged minions around level 16 or so, and Calamity with Aether Walker allows you to deal absurd amounts of siege damage to towers, since they won’t be targeting you and you’ll always have it on short cooldown. It’s purely a gameplay preference, but the Calamity build is for people who like high risk high reward styled gameplay, such as myself. There’s a reason I main warrior.

A fair point.

I typically pick Johanna as my Warrior of choice. I have a bad habit of being the last person to die in any given match unless I screw up early on :stuck_out_tongue:

She’s really good against CC-focused characters like Malfurion and The Butcher. She also kinda punishes Illidan for existing which is always welcome.
