Hour of Heroes

IC:

The drop ship arrives at the site, Umbra gets off first, with the other two heroes following behind.

OOC:
I don’t expect these random 2 heroes to live very long, so feel free to kill them off somehow.

Bracer nods as he takes cover. “Where’s the shooter?” He asked as he took out his rifle, and laded in a six shot charge.

“I can’t tell, but my best guess is the tower on east of 3rd Avenue!”

Umbra tries to camouflage himself, hoping it will work. He knows he can’t grab his rifle yet, as it’d remove any chance of the camouflage working.

Dynamo touched down near the blast site, and tried to lift some rubble off a Civilian.“Don’t worry, the Hero Factory is here to help.” He stated.

The civilian looked up in terror at Dynamo, which quickly turned into hope at the sight of the H on his chest. “I thought I was done for.” He said as he shakily crawled out of the rubble. “Thank Makuro you’re here.”

It took some time for Metaform to work his way through the ventilation system and into the grandiose chamber where Mr. Makuro stood. The ancient figure seemed to notice the alien-like creature’s presence, and snapped his head towards him.

“Get out.” He sternly said. “Now.”

“Mm, no.” Metaform mused, digging through his components. “Not until I deliver my message. Ah, here it is.” He pulled a piece of metal out from his system and glanced over some writing on it. “There-is-no-chance-to- oh right, duh. There is no chance to escape Armageddon, Makuro.” He grinned, clearly nervous but trying to appear imposing. “Open the factory up to public tours or face the storm head on.”

“What?” Makuro stared furiously, as if Metaform was mad. “You have two seconds to leave.”

“Fine, don’t mind me.” He began retracting himself through the vent. “Not like you’d want to avoid a virus.”

Makuro glared angrily at him until he had departed. Musing over it for a few seconds, he pressed an alarm. “Secure the outer perimeter at once. We have an intruder.”

Dynamo grappled both sides of the debris, and slowly began to lift it with his jetpack.

Bracer new that there was no one he could take out a sniper at this range, especially with his short ranged rifle. Instead he scanned the area fro any civilians in peril.

Most of the civilians appeared to have dodged most of the debris, or were being escorted by the now recovered rookies. Now that the heroes on the rooftops had grabbed Detlas’ attention, they were free to - quickly - move the civilians to rescue.

Skewer growled something into her headset. An alert had just gone off, and she was demanding it be ignored by security staff so they could get the remaining rookies and civilians out of the area.

Detlas readjusted himself and stared down the scope of his sniper rifle. Once again he made himself visible, floating in between two buildings as his bead danced across the area, looking for where to stick.

Umbra wonders if he should attempt to save a civilian now, or risk not being able to by attacking Detlas.

Bracer quickly left his cover, and began turning over pieces of ruble, looking for any servicing citizens, or dead heroes.

IC:

There were a few dead heroes strewn about, all of them rookies who had been present for the ceremony. Mot of the rookies were still alive, however, and conduction safety protocols very poorly.

Thanks to her position, Skewer had already directed most of the civilians to safety, and the ones that were under rubble were in no great harm. But a red bead danced over Bracer’s eyes. He had been spotted.

IC

Bracer saw the dot, and immediately dove behind some ruble net to a more unfortunate rookie.

Dynamo had finished picking up the rubble, and stuck a hand out to help the civilian up.

IC

After looking around to make sure nobody was looking, Bracer ached a clawed hand up to the dead rookies chest, and ripped his hero core at, stashing it in a pocket inside his coat.

IC:

Umbra looks for any civilians left to save, not sure if Skewer had already evacuated them all.

IC:

The civilian accepted his hand, suddenly conscious of the armed threat flying about nearby.

@Distraxx
Umbra’s search was in vain; Skewer had directed the rest to safety.

@Samtastictogo
Her eyes had traveled up to the building where Scanner was. “Rookie,” She ordered through the communicator, breaking in upon the relative silence he was in. “I need you to get that yellow rustbolt’s attention - if you don’t have the option of taking him out of the sky!”

Helping the victim up, Dynamo looked upwards towards the floating menace, ignited his boost pack, and rocketed towards it.

IC:

Detlas saw the burst of flame from the boost pack, let out a growling roar, and snapped the sight to his eye.

Dynamo altered his flight path to avoid the scope, but was also unable to make contact with his foe.
