So I have recently gotten back into Bionicle in the past months after just leaving it since November 2016. Here’s something I never got. Exactly how did the inika get from Metru Nui (inside the robot) to Voya Nui? (outside the robot)

So first they went to Karzahni, and since Karzahni is pretty close to Metru Nui they got there pretty quickly. On Karzahni, they were given new masks by him as a way to remove their identities, and detained on the island. While exploring, they found Toa Canisters, which they used to travel all the way to Voya Nui- as Toa canisters can cut through protodermis like water, if you remember.
