Kanae's sport - Phantoka [Worlbuilding] [Characters] [Pitch]

I might have a convoluted suggestion (bear with me here).

Going through a hoop has typically been referred to as “jumping hoops.”

Another word for a sweater (in England) is a “jumper.”

Since the Gukko-Suits are a type of over-garment, why not call the scorers “Jumpers?”

Jumper would work if they jumped more. I get the thought process, but the audience probably wouldn’t.

Soarer isn’t bad, but sounds a bit strange.

How about Wingers or Feathers?
Those sound kinda weird too lol

Yeah, naming stuff is harder than it seems.

How about Arrows?

Screw it, let’s just call them “Gukko-Suit Players”

Kini? Kini-Nui isn’t used in G3 if I’m correct, so it might work

Isn’t Kini the word for temple?

No, kini means what according to google translate, but that’s google translate lol
Lets just call them flyers.

I checked Biosector, and Kini is used as the suffix for regional temples on Mata Nui

Karda? Phantoka comes to mind.

Karda Suits

Karda means “heart” in Matoran. “Bokarda” means “heart of forest.”

Wait… Phantoka!

Yayyyyy phantoka suits

That, or the position could be called “Phantoka”

How about the game is called “Phantoka”, and the main players are named after that.

I’m all for the game being called Phantoka, but calling the scoring position “Phantoka” as well might be confusing. Since Phantoka means “air spirit,” let’s just call the scorers “Spirits.”

Okay, I’ve finished editing the first post. What else should be added, if anything?

You could probably erase the first major paragraph (the one immediately after the very first two sentences) and replace it with the layout of the arena/stadium/play area

Ehh and done
