“Yeah right,” the guard said. “I ain’t taking a bribe from a liar.”

Insult him.
Try to steal something from him. (keys, blaster, ect)

“That’s funny because I would think a brute like you would be dumb enough to take my money.”
“What did you say?” asked the guard.
“Your thick-headedness just cost you a beautiful stack of money.”
The guard takes his stun club and opens up the prison cell.
Wait for him to attack, and then grab his club

He opened the door. It would be a good idea to run away.
The guard raises his club, but Tessin ducks out of the way and kicks the knees of the guard. The guard’s injured knees causes him to buckle and land on the ground. Tessin leaps out of the cell and closes the cell, locking it.
Tessin notices more guards in the other room, and sees a blaster on a chair, belonging to the guards.
“Hey!” cries a human in the cell. “Help me out here. I’m a republic soldier.”
Should we help the republic soldier?

Tessin takes the blaster and fires it at the lock. The Republic soldier pushes the cell door open.
“Alright, Squid-Head,” the soldier said. “We should get the others out of here. Say, we could use someone like you for the Republic.”
How do we respond?
Well I don’t like that term, but I don’t see why not.
Go with him, but stay wary.
Follow him but keep your gun against his back as a precaution
