LEGO Star Wars Topic

Oh really? Neat (I can’t really zoom in myself).

The new sets look… interesting…
What surprises me the most is that it’s a Star Wars line with only one lightsaber (that is, for now).

As for Lego Star Wars overall, I love it. Great sets, great representations of characters and vehicles, etc. I even have the first Millennium Falcon that Lego ever sold, and it’s good no matter what other people say, but it’s not my favorite LSW set of all time. Either the Rogue Shadow from 2008 or Anakin’s Custom Jedi Starfighter from this year.
The Rogue Shadow is my all time favorite spaceship, and it comes from one of the best Star Wars games ever made. The Custom Starfighter, however, has one of the coolest looks for a Jedi craft in terms of both color scheme (I’m a sucker for the color blue) and the integration of hyperdrive capability. Lego nailed it with both sets, even if the Rogue Shadow is smaller than the “proper” scale, but the figs make up for it. Juno Eclipse, Starkiller, and a battle damaged Darth Vader that was full of great details for the time.

Haven’t played any of the LSW games, though I did play the demo for the Clone Wars tie-in game.

I coulda sworn Finn had a lightsaber…

Maybe, maybe not. I know it’s on the poster, but I don’t see it in the set image. Maybe it’s included but they don’t put it there because they want to keep everything hush hush like they have been.

If they wanna keep that sorta thing secret, I don’t think plastering it on an official poster will really help…

Well, they didn’t exactly keep the characters secret. We’ve known about them for a year. Then again, we don’t know much about them besides names and looks.

Nope, apparently not.

The only person with a lightsaber is Kylo Ren. This makes me wonder: will there even be a lightsaber battle in The Force Awakens?

It’s Star Wars.

If there isn’t a lightsaber battle, the universe will literally end.

Any idea how much that new Falcon is gonna cost, anybody?

More then you or me’d be willing to pay.

Too true.

Judging by the price of the older one, from 2011 (which I, sadly, dissassembled), it should be at least $139.99- say $140.

Parents bought it for me because I’d gotten 3rd, in the last round, in the school spelling bee in 4th grade.

Pfff… that doesn’t matter. What matters is that TFA’s Falcon comes with Finn and Chewie’s crossbow.

Lego catalogue, leaked and then was taken down, caught it just in time.

They’re still selling the Death Star?

Well, they stopped selling it a few months ago i believe and now they are re-selling it again. Guess they announced they were going to take it off the market to encourage sales and move out the stock they had. Then. realising that a lot of people still wanted the set (plus with the new film) they decided to re-introduce it.

Chances are we’ll get another Death Star Lego set of that scale at some point - and they want to sell as many of the current version before that point.

The least they could have done was update the figs again. They still have gosh-darn dots foe eyes!

I actually kind of like some of the old faces. The new ones are always more detailed than they need to be, and I just like them being simpler. After all, mini figures are pretty simple to begin with.

I think there’s a good middle ground. Most of the faces '10-'13 were pretty good.

I like this Luke:

Much more then these Lukes:

Yeah, I do like the top one as well. But again, I do like some of the older ones. I dunno why, they just feel more like some of the characters.

Nostalgia maybe? The plain back eyes just seem dead to me.
