Managing piece inventory

Good evening ladies and gents

Requesting advice from the community!
As someone trying to improve on the art of MOCing, I have noticed the importance of having an organised piece inventory. My last building sessions has mostly consisted of finding pieces in a virtually endless sea of pieces.

My question for you, dear community is as follows:
What is the best method of organisation of pieces, I have looked into buying a bunch of something like these:

However, I think they might be a bit on the small side. Anyone have any suggestions on similar products only a bit up-scaled?

to be honest I don’t know where to put this, so I will put it here. ANYWAY, I think this title is pretty self explanatory, how do you organize your mess of a room? I’m just curious. Personally I organize my parts into 12 categories, ccbs bones and such, torsos, G1 limbs, Hands, Feet, Technic beams and other small stuff, armor add-ons, weapons, heads, masks, and finally miscellaneous(mostly tires, rubber bands, and tubes) Here is a picture if ya wanna see.
