The gearbox piece has little indentions in it designed so that the yellow “gears” will slide in and fit without moving out. The gears aren’t designed to fit in those indentions.

Of course not. But the knob pieces are simply attached via TECHNIC axle, correct?

I don’t think we’re talking about the same thing. I’m reffering to the parts that stick out of the back of the gearboxes. You twist those pieces and they in turn twist the gears that make the arms move. The latter gears are the only ones assisted by the indentations, correct?

I think the way to fix that issue is by having two gearboxes maybe, one at the top and one at the bottom, so he doesn’t have really wide hips and really thin upper body.

I don’t think two gearboxes would fit on one regular HF torso though. Unless you overlap them, but then it would just look weird.
