Okotan Adventures: Spider Saga

“Oh, no.” Icar said as he saw the smoke.

“It is coming from…” Vladin said, before realising that the answer was affirmative, and running towards Blaze’s former house.

Icar followed, keeping pace with Vladin.

When the two arrived in front of the burning house, Vladin went crazy.
“Oh my god, who—? Why—? Water! We need water!” He said as he started running around the neighbourhood looking for a water source.

Dax and Capella stayed behind, watching in case for a surprise attack.

Azure followed the group.

Vladin finally found a well. He took it’s bucket and filled it with water. He then ran back to Blaze’s house and threw the water on the flames. He didn’t even wait to see the result, instead returning back to the well and filling the bucket once again. Icar could quickly realise that Vladin wasn’t really making any progress.

Athena continued following the group. Seeing that nothing was happening, she walked closer to Azure.
“Where were you all these years?” Athena said, rather hushed, not wanting the others (especially Gladius and Tekan) to hear her.
@Tarkur

Rena and her group would, in the end, arrive at the edge of the crater.

Ghabix, in front of the toomb of the death villager, was looking at the inscription on the tombstone. That if you could call them “inscription” and “tombstone”. The family was too poor to actually buy a real tombstone, so they used a random stone and some dirt to write the name on it.
Then Ghabix could hear some footsteps approaching. The figure stopped behind him. Ghabix didn’t dare to turn around.

Icar went to help Vladin gather water to extinguish the flames.

Blaze seems more and more uncomfortable as they went closer to the crater.

After a while, Vladin got tired and started to slow down.
Other Okotoans were just standing them, looking at the two as they were doing something.

“You OK?” Rena asked.

The Lord of the Undying Storm was having a bad day.

After being pointed in the right direction by Ekimu, he had spent the last hour trudging through the brush, impatiently attempting to do anything with his powers during that time. He had not properly heeded Ekimu’s words, and there was a stream of broken tree limbs as his massive form strode through, snapping everything in his way. He was just tall enough to almost see over the tops of the trees, but not enough. Most of the time he walked in massive strides with one arm over his face. He was already a third if the distance, but the mountains would soon be in his way.

“Stupid crater.” The Storm grumbled as he hiked. “Why couldn’t it be a little closer?”

“Mind helping put out this fire before it spreads?” Icar asked the crowd.

“This place feels like it’s hiding something dangerous.” Blaze said.

The Okotoans looked at each other, not knowing what to do.

“Get water into buckets and dump water on the flames!” Icar yelled.

The Okotoans stepped back, as some of them started doing so.
Vladin was slowly crawling his legs on the sand under him towards the well.

Dakron walked after the group. His grip tightened on his scythe. He didn’t like the way this place felt.

Jevis continued to try and follow the tracks, but they just seemed to pull him in deeper into the jungle. Plus, he knew Pheore, and if she would have done a better job at covering her tracks.

Kryuna followed along with Lync and Hiraeth, not trying to make much small talk.

“None of your buisness.” She muttered as she tried to signal that she wasn’t really in the mood of talking at the moment.

“Believe me, I think it is.” she whispered back.

“No it is not because it doesn’t matter in the grand schemes of things.” She answer slightly annoyed.

Athena laughed at her… Laughable argument, completely abandoning her whispering for a few moments of joy.
“Sure. It doesn’t matter in the “grand scheme of things”. Like anything matters.”
