Hi everybody! I'm a big anthropology nerd, especially when it comes to religion, so here's some lil sprites of some pantheons from the Americas and India that I made for your viewing pleasure.
AZTEC / NAHUATL DEITIES
Huitzilopochtli, god of the sun.
Quetzalcoatl, god of winds.
Tezcatlipoca, god of the night and shadows.
Tlaloc, god of rain.
Xipe Totec, god of rebirth and sacrifice.
Mayahuel, goddess of flowers.
Xochipilli, god of flowers and dance.
Mixcoatl, god of the hunt.
Mictlantecuhtli, god of death.
CONTEMPORARY HINDU DEITIES
Brahma, the creator god.
Vishnu, the protecting god.
Shiva, the destroying god.
Saraswati, goddess of art and music, wife of Brahma.
Lakhshmi, goddess of wealth, wife of Vishnu.
Paravati, goddess of motherhood, wife of Shiva.
Ganesha, god of new beginnings, son of Shiva and Paravati.
RIGVEDIC HINDU DEITIES
Indra, god of thunder.
Agni, god of fire.
Varuna, god of the seas.
Vayu, god of wind.
Bonus: an Inca Deity
Inti, god of the sun.
Originally I planned to make sprites for the Inca pantheon, however they don't have either a unified artistic representation motif like the Hindu gods or a codex for reference, as with the Nahuatl gods, so most of what I made was based on vague details from different sources. Maybe I'll get around to doing that, and a few other pantheons, in the future.
