Prehistoric and Extinct Creatures

The North American camel was huge compared to modern camels!

And the Chalicotherium was pretty weird looking.

Introducing: Mr. Thylacine.

They went extinct in 1936 because Aussie farmers thought these guys where eating their sheep. Think of them like wolves with a kangaroo pouch.

That Thylacine reminds me of a few other creatures that went recently extinct. Like:
The Mexican grizzly bear

The Japanese wolf

The passenger pigeon

The Japanese river otter

The Java tiger

And many others that, just like the Thylacine, are believed to not be extinct and have had many sightings over the years.

Also, another recently extinct creature whose extinction was caused by humans was the only parrot native to North America (not including Central America), the Carolina parakeet:

Prehistoric mammals are fascinating. Especially the Australian ones.
Like obdurodon tharalkooschild

A 1 meter long or three feet if you’re American predatory platypus
Or procoptodon

A 2,6 meter tall kangaroo

I also like some of the animals of the northern hemisphere quite a lot too
Like indrocotherium

The largest terrestrial mammal to walk the earth
And the wholly rhino

And brontotherium

Look at that horn
And basilosaurus

It’s a whale, not a reptile like it’s name would suggest

Something feels wrong about this

Oh, the fresh water dolphin? Considered extinct recently, like a few years ago, between now and maybe 2013, mid-early 2014 , could be wrong. Still sightings though

It’s not that, it’s just how oddly happy the dolphin is with that fact floating over its head.

Oh, and the amount of coins and level.

There may or may not have been a mammal slightly larger than it…

are Dwarf Elephants still around or no?

If I was a dolphin that was supposed to be extinct and wasn’t I’d be pretty happy too.

Truly tiny dwarf elephants went extinct with the hobbits in Indonesia. Most other dwarf elephants that I see on the news usually are part of the same species as normal elephant.

well

I only just found out about Opobinia
