Project: Runa and Other Miscellaneous Powerful Individuals

This here is a collection of drawings I have created of many superhero/villain like characters. All drawings are my own, though not all characters. Those who aren’t my own characters will have the character credited to them, and each character will be accompanied by a short blurb about them. Enjoy!

Project: Runa
(and miscellaneous Projects of his design)

A man who made himself into a machine.

Abandoned at a young age, and obsessed with machinery, he soon stumbled across a strange new material that happened to fall to Earth inside a meteor. Using it as a potential power source, and dubbing it Veriperium, he designed his first project: a plan to augment himself-and to cast away his humanity, in a sense-in order to destroy the villainy in this world.
They say he wears that mask and cast off his given name so as to have no connection to the family that cast him away.

Project: Novus

The hope for the future.
Since a young age, Catherine Gray had always wanted to be a hero. When she got a chance to help save one from some strange robotic entity from space, she took it, and she tackled the robot, who almost killed her, and would have, if Runa had not jumped back in and returned the favor. After seeing her spirit(and wanting to make sure she didn’t get herself killed), he took her under his wing and gave her the Project: Novus suit, teaching her what she’d wanted to know from birth: how to become a superhero.
Many think it was her friendliness and upbeat personality that warmed an aging Runa’s cold heart, at least a bit.

The Renegade

So full of potential. If only he decides not to waste it.
Shouya Ito grew up on the street. One day, he heard tell of a man visiting Tokyo, looking for a successor. He, being an enterprising young man, decided to break into his room and “borrow” whatever he was looking to give away. Once there, he broke through the really weak six layers of highly complex security to get to the Project: Novus suit. After wearing that around for a while during his heists, Project: Runa found him and stole his suit back, afterwards Shouya donned the title of Oni, an urban legend he’d heard of that he truly admired, until he collected all the materials for his own greatest project: The Renegade suit. Using it, he performs mostly theft, though Project: Runa knows that he and his technological prowess could help save the world, if only Shouya would stop squandering it how he does.
They say that the crystal in his suit holds a fragment of an alien soul.

Oni

A man haunted by his mistakes.
Deep down, Hinata Ito is not a bad man, just a man who’s knowledge was abused by bad men. Caught in the snare of a master manipulator, he was tasked with creating a dangerous, weaponized program, and had to lie, steal, and kill in order to create it. Upon being snapped out of the man’s control, HInata was horrified as his own creation became impossible to contain and control, and as his actions, and the legends surrounding them, caught up with him. He now roams the streets, trying to find a way to destroy what he’s created.
They say Hinata loathes almost all of his creations, though there is at least one that he loves dearly, and will protect at any cost, so long as he can.

Malware

Chaos incarnate, an uncontrollable code
Created to be the ultimate weapon in the digital age, Malware is a living code with no truly physical form. It lives to destroy and corrupt, jumping from machine to machine, taking control of them for its own purposes. Although originally created to be a controlled force, even its creators couldn’t take into account the virus that would corrupt it, turning into its current, uncontrollable, corrupted form. With no physical form, it can not hurt a human being, however conventional attacking can’t hurt it, either. its greatest strength is also its weakness, as if it can be cut off from electronics and code, its harmless.
Many wonder how something can act so human while lacking any humanity. Some believe it doesn’t.

Llillaa Teenuka

He came to Earth as a criminal, a destroyer. He stayed here as a protector.
Llillaa Teenuka was a criminal on his home planet of Celerion. He, along with many of his Celestial kin, broke from the main ideas of Celerion, instead preferring to go through the galaxy, purging it of those species they deemed too weak for this world. This would eventually come to include humans, hence the excursion to Earth, where a defeat by the hands of Project: Runa proved him wrong. After spending time in Runa’s captivity, joints melted to become little more that a living statue, he grew to tolerate, and even enjoy, the company of Runa, and through him, humanity, to the point of helping Runa to save the planet.
(credit for the character himself goes to @Flux, formerly Jcton. He’s not character, so I couldn’t really think of a cool little fun fact/rumor about him, sorry.)

Toxin

Bounty hunter, sent here for his kin.
Toxin was a Celestial, bent on hunting down Celestials of the common ilk as his job, a job eased by his abilities to become a cloud of toxic gas and control it.
(character credit goes to @meepinater)

GameMaster

A crazed man who loves to put on a show
As a young boy, Jonathan Servastus loved games, a trait that persisted through traumatic experiences and mental breaks, to the point that it became his defining trait in villainy. He sets up elaborate games for his victims to play, using them like pawns in his plans…whatever they may be.
(character credit goes to @Mctoran)

Mirror

Lady of a thousand faces
Mirror remembers little of her past. Once she was struck by some strange force, her form and mental state was changed, and turned much more malleable. It gave her the ability to become anyone she saw, and copy their memory, a skill quickly utilized by a certain master manipulator. She soon became a master fighter and an excellent spy and informant, even if she couldn’t remember her own name in the process.
She still has nightmares about that night. Those have never gone away. At least she saved them, though.

Shade

A demon haunted by his demons.
Anthony Fitzgerald was an angry person, even in childhood. Despite this, he was always interested in superheros, to the point that, as a young teenager, he searched for a way to give himself those powers. In his search, he found an ancient ritual that promised him just that. What it forgot to mention, however, was that it would imbue him with evil spirits, deforming him into his current, shadowy form and causing his fits of rage to become his norm. He went on a rampage due to this betrayal, and was only eventually calmed by a certain master manipulator, who then went on to employ him as a bodyguard and a destructive force.
They say, somewhere below that rage and darkness, is a glimmer of remorse, hoping to one day be released.

Arkan Sol

Master of Magic, Hater of Humanity
One day, in 1000’s Ireland, in a search for eternal life, Ainmire MacTiernan stumbled his way into the mythical land of Tìr na Nòg, where his love of all things magical was sparked. The fae he found there taught him about fae magic and how to harness it. Upon his return, hundreds of years later, he studied the arcane arts in France, along with going all around the known world to study the different magical arts, and took a new, Latin inspired name during his studies: Arkan Sol. After a while, he returned to Tìr na Nòg, where he soon stumbled upon the fae who were less friendly towards humanity, and told him of all the things they’d done and how they were destroying the fairy realm. Upon learning of this, he swore to do anything to save them, even if that meant the end of humanity.
They say a year in Tìr na Nòg is a hundred here, and that he who sets foot on the ground upon return will have the years catch up to them. It is only the fae’s magic that kept him alive upon his return. Alive, but one might debate on well.

Surius Sarcalla

The law, judge, and executioner
Once upon a time, in the depths of space, the Sentience Emulating Robotic Automaton, the first Sera, was created. By it’s ability to create more of itself, it soon spread into a synthetic species, who’s primary directive was to enforce the law. Surius, however, took this to the extreme, as any who broke the law were sentenced by him to death. He searched the cosmos, looking for any criminals, hoping to make the world a better place.
They say he attempted to work on Earth before, and was the one who dismembered a certain metallic hero trying to prevent that, and that he would have killed him another time, if no one had gotten in the way.

Ciestaal Suul

A peaceful soul, who detests the fighting he knows he must partake in as well.
Ciestaal comes from a people made of warrior monks, who prefer keeping peace. Unlike most, however, Ciestaal detests violence, and will go to great means in order to not use it. He’s learned to use his aura manipulation for purposes other than just fighting, and travels around trying to solve issues, peacefully if he can, but forcefully if he must.
They say that his people aren’t the body, but the strange orb that floats around them, and that when they die said orb breaks and scatters around the universe. Some say they even make a good power source at that point.

And that’s all of them. Comments, criticism, and questions about the characters are welcome and appreciated!

All of them are good but… Very 2d-ish, even tho they try to replicate more dynamic poses.
I’d say try work more on your 3dimensionality, to make them actually look like they are moving.
