Public City Buses are very commonly used in my country.

Also school busses? Lewl, go to school in public busses like anyone else.

I took buses to get home before i got a car

I go on planes a lot.
Business/ first class is amazing on international flights.
Coach on super long flights is awful.

What kind of bus are we talking about? City transportation buses? Those are meh, you just have to not look someone on the eyes and you’ll be ok, there are not that many weirdos. To other cities buses are quite nice, the seats are good and comfy, but you’re never sure if you’re going to reach your destination (especially on turbus)
