Question about Matoran settlements on Spherus Magna

When the Matoran relocated to the reformed Spherus Magna, did they settle in settlements according to their elements like the Metrus and Koros? If so, do these settlements have a name?

Last I checked, they were still planning out the construction of New Atero, a gigantic mega-city formed out of the remnants of the GSR.
Whether this would also have had separate districts per elemental affinity is relatively unknown, as numerous Matoran-aligned species (Agori, Glatorian, Order of Mata Nui members, possibly denizens of completely different islands, etc) would’ve likely inhabited it as well.

I like to belive that New Atero is the massive city in the middle like the Colosseum or Kini-Nui with the elemental regions surrounding it called Magnas, Ex: Ta-Manga, Ga-Magna ect.

Elemental regions in one city would serve no purpose when you have 15 elements to represent plus many non-Matoran species.

Yet grey wouldn’t be in the city, they would all be in the surrounding area, and all the non elemental species could live in the massive New Atero.

16, if you count Sand.
Despite being fairly (and quite understandably) ticked off at the treatment of their Bara Magnan counterparts, neither the Vorox nor Zesk from Bota Magna experienced any sort of mental regression, so it might’ve been possible that they (as a whole) had a much better relationship with their Glatorian and Agori relatives.
Unless, of course, they were all at odds with each other long before that, in which case, disregard.

I was mainly refering to the Matoran elements, of which there are 15, that doesn’t include Shadow either.

Fair enough.
Just wanted to point that out since Agori and Glatorian elements are mostly the same, but with a couple of differences.

Yeah. The difference between Agori and Matoran settlements were really that the Agori lived in tribes with different ideals, Matoran lived in different climates depending on their elements due to simply that they had to, for example, Ko-Matoran would not fair well in the heat of Ta-Koro, most Matoran would drown in Ga-Koro, and well, De-Matoran are probably the most sensitive case, as they need peace and quiet due to their sensitive hearing. Which does raise the question; would the majority of Matoran even live in New Atero?

Hmmm… Good point. Had honestly not considered that.
It would likely stand to reason that at least some of the GSR’s artificial climate technology survived the Final Battle, though, so that question would probably be entirely dependent on whether or not anyone was capable of adapting it into the mega-city itself. And since both Artakha and Velika (the two most capable candidates for doing so) are currently off doing their own stuff at the moment, the odds of it happening without either of them being present is relatively slim.

Yeah ikr, one is busy killing the other while the other is completely lost and wants to remain a myth… shrug
