“Speaking of which, I haven’t given you a gift in a while. Anything specific you’d like?”
he blushed, “you don’t have to get me anything.”
“Nah, I will. Gift-giving’s a huge deal with my tribe and you’re a huge deal to me. There has to be something I can give.”
“what about a kiss?”
“I give plenty of those, and you give plenty back. You’re the greatest gift ever, surely I can make that up somehow.”
“you do.”
“Still though, nothing specific at all?”
“if you must, surprise me. okay?”
“Yes!” he says eagerly, “Thanks, Oliver.”
“i should be thanking you.”
Ash kisses him on the lips. “You don’t have to. I just want to give as much to you as possible to show my appreciation.”
oliver smiled and kissed him back
Ash holds him, his body feeling warmer.

Ash’s tail sways, Ash still trying hard to stay quiet. He breaks the kiss and falls asleep in Oliver’s arms.
He wakes up and sneaks out with Stardust.
