Salvation: Part II

@ToaNoah_Wafflemeister

Juliana had left the stage, and was now trying to figure out where Blught had went.

The three Troopers cease their retreat and fire upon the terrorcon yet again, aiming for its chest, head, and its cannon.

The guards had been forced to retreat into the ward’s medical facility. Many had sustained minor injuries, and were fighting to hold off the rest of the rioting inmates.

The last Air Trooper is slain, falling to the floor with a hole in his chest. But a Mercenary had managed to procure a Scatterblaster shotgun and approaches Gatecrasher from behind.

The Autobot guard shouts a warning to Gatecrasher just as the Mercenary starts to pull the trigger.

“Get down!”

“Hey, it’s been seventy years,” Thrift says defensively. “It was just a couple o’ ships. Few hundred mercs. Nothing Cannonball-level, y’know what I mean?”

Zepar’s Terrorcons tried to keep the pressure on the heretics while the Angelicon moved to try and locate and capture whoever was the leader of these inmates.

Epsilon nods, “Fair point.” He said.

The Splitter Brothers wander into the brig, coincidentally.

SideStep heads to Salvo, and Pixel finds her way to facelift.

Gatecrasher ducks and activated the Sentinel Shield, attempting to shield the autobot guard and himself from danger.

The the three troopers continue to fire upon the terrorcons, blowing a hole in the chest of the undead Heavy Trooper.

OOC: please respond to attacks that enemies make on your characters. Otherwise, I will decide what injuries they sustain. The same goes the other way around; if I forget to respond to an attack your character makes, you’re free to autohit to an extent.

IC: A large Decepticon armed with drills and chest-mounted blasters seemed to be rallying the inmates, piercing through the armor of a guard as he swings a punch at his midsection.

“Keep the pressure on 'em, boys!” he bellows. “Show these grease-lickers how us real Decepticons do things!”

The three would quickly grow wise to the situation at hand, as a shot from a Sharpshooter’s rifle just barely misses Thrust’s head and burrows into the wall behind him. The three could also see Gatecrasher engaging a Mercenary.

The shotgun blast might graze Gatecrasher, but the shield would deploy in time to protect the Autobot Guard from harm while he scrambled to his feet.

Salvo was running along a rusted bridge toward Salvation.

Facelift could be found in one of the corridors within the spaceport, walking away from the control room that Zepar, Actaeon, and Daria had recently unlocked.

Gatecrasher hissed in pain, but stood firm.

The three brothers almost immediately draw their weapons, and they begin to fire upon the criminals.

The one with a hole, well, a much bigger hole, in it’s chest howled as it fell to it’s knees, charging it’s cannon weakly while the other tried to evade the attacks.

“Real Decepticons?” Asked Zepar, “Ha! You’re heretics, traitors to your own cause and to Cybertron and for your crimes against Cybertron you shall face my wrath; the vengeful wrath of retribution.” He growled, approaching the drill 'con.

Epsilon brought out the datacard Corona gave him and showed it to Thrift, “Do you think you can help me install this?” He asked the Junkion.

OOC: how 'bout some music? Been too long since we’ve had a good battle theme.

IC:

The Mercenary fires another blast from the Scatterblaster, sending a cluster of burning metal spheres darting at the shield.

A Ground Trooper charges at Gatecrasher from behind, but a crack! is heard as the Autobot Guard dispatches the rogue Decepticon.

“That make us even?” the guard quips.

The Sharpshooter ducks behind a piece of hovering debris, evading the brothers’ fire.

The Mercenary menacing Gatecrasher is shot by on of the brothers. Crying out in pain, the rogue whirls around and fires another blast from his shotgun at the closest Splitter brother.

Two of the three troopers focus on the undead Heavy, trying to bring it down for good, while the third deploys an energy blade from his rifle and hacks at the other terrorcon.

“Ho-ho!” the giant laughs, turning his attention to Zepar and dropping the body of the guard he had recently slain.

“I like your spirit, boy,” he concedes, “but yeh gonna need more 'n hot air if yeh think yeh best the mighty Thunderizer!”

Thunderizer revs up the drill on the end of his right arm and charges at Zepar, jabbing at the angelicon with the aforementioned appendage as he did so.

“Have at yeh, yeh squeaky runt!” he bellows.

Thrift leans closer to get a better look at the datacard. It was of an older make, much like the tank whose schematics it contained.

“D*mn, son,” Thrift reacts. “Where’d you find this?” He had disappeared before he could have seen what gift Epsilon had been offered.

@Jcton

Deus looks around the control center, his gaze drifting from the ornate miniature of Salvation to the Omega Key in the control console by the window.

OOC: feel free to take control of Deus whenever.

“There was never any debt, but thanks any way.” he says, then quickly deactivates the shield, and transforms into tank mode, firing away at any opponents in sight.

The second Terrorcon’s arms were sliced clean off and they seemed to be inert until they suddenly sprung up and skittered like some kind of spider and began to try and attack the trooper, one going for the head and the other going for the gun, while their body moved to headbutt the one who dismembered it.

The Heavy was knocked back by the attacks but it managed to aim up its cannon on the nearest of the two and fired.

Zepar glared at Thunderizer as he raised his energy shield to deflect the attack, his left arm spewing out violet dragonfire in a ring around himself and the large Decepticon, planning to isolate the big guy from his fellow inmates and to weaken his opponent.

OOC: The ring of fire looks something like this:

“Corona gave this to me.” Epsilon said to Thrift.

The mercenary is blasted away, and the shell’s explosions damage the walls and floor… and nearly wound the Splitter brothers (@meepinater) and the Deception Guard.

“Hey, watch it!” the Decepticon Guard shouts, jumping to safety.

Gatecrasher and the Splitters could observe that the repair mechanisms taking Salvation apart were also slowly cleaning and mending her broken parts- including the pieces that Gatecrasher had damaged- along with the bodies of the dead inmates. Arcs of blue energy run along every surface and flash between drifting pieces of the cell block.

The Trooper falls, clawing frantically at the severed limbs that had grabbed him.

The spaceport’s machines try to pull the severed limbs back toward the terrorcon they had come from.

The two Troopers are blasted apart and slain.

Thunderizer looks around at the ring of fire, which scorches the deck and laps at the dismantled walls. The other inmates scramble away from the ring to avoid being burned. Then, Thunderizer scoffs.

“The only one you’ve trapped here is yourself, lad!” he boasts, his drill spinning as the guns on his chest flip out. The effects of the Dark Energon enhancing the flames wouldn’t take right away, and it didn’t help that Thunderizer was a rather large and well-built bot.

“Ah…” Thrift reacts with a nod of his head. “So it is.”

"Unfortunately, I lack the equipment and medical skill required to get this installed. “You should go see that Facelift guy; I hear that’s more his forte.”

The Heavy joins the fight and tries to immobilize the remaining trooper.

The dismembered Terrorcon did struggle against the repair systems but they were managing to reconnect the pieces to the body as its focus was still to try and immobilize the trooper that attacked it.

Zepar tries to strike the chest cannons with the Twilight Saber.

“Facelift? Who’s he?” Epsilon asked.

Lightshift yelps and dodges, before firing his rifle at the Mercenary.

“Slag,” he muttered, noticing the repairs on the inmates. “I guess I’ll have to keep them down until the cells repair” he concluded.

The Trooper struggles against his captors, but to no avail; he is trapped. The repair mechanisms of the spaceport continue to mend the injuries the two terrorcons had sustained.

Thunderizer tries to dodge, but one of the cannons is severed, eliciting a cry of pain from the Decepticon.

Gah! I’ll return the favor for that, yeh frakkin’ toaster-oven!” he vows as the remaining cannon fires three consecutive shots at Zepar.

The mercenary had already been killed, the spaceport’s machinery beginning to repair the dead body.

A red dot of light fixes itself on Gatecrasher’s right shoulder as the Sharpshooter the Splitter brothers had engaged earlier fires upon the Decepticon from down the hall, behind a piece of debris.

The rioting prisoners in this sector were being led by a large Decepticon with blocky, lime-green armor who wielded a massive saw.

OOC: he kinda looks like Cybertron’s Metroplex.

IC:
Elsewhere aboard Salvation, a team of Heretics had escaped the Detention Ward they had been locked up in and were driving down the skeletal frames of the Fleetcarrier’s dismantled corridors toward the science wing.

“Tall guy,” Thrift describes the mad medic. “Cyclops. Kinda looks like Shockwave.”

Gatecrasher reversed quickly, and deployed his drone. The drone would get in range of the sniper, and fire a salvo of missles. Meanwhile, Gatecrasher would fire a couple rounds at the tall fellow, trying to see if he could do any damage.

Laslow was rushing to the prison wing to help, when he saw them rush past. He decided to trail them, and find out where they were going.

Zepar scowls and raises his shield and fires back with his arm cannon.

The Terrorcons, trying to keep the heretic immobilized, move to bring him into the custody of the Guards.

Epsilon nods, “okay, any advice with him?” He asks.

The Sharpshooter hides behind his cover, which is reduced to charred pieces by the missiles. The sniper is sent flying into a wall, having taken reduced damage thanks to the barrier taking most of the missiles’ fury. He quickly turns, deploying an energon pistol and firing at the drone, trying to shoot it out of the air.

The resulting explosions severely wound two prison guards close to the large inmate, and also weaken the integrity of the floor the big fellow was standing on. Unfortunately, though, the man himself seemed more annoyed than anything.

“You call that matchbox car o’ yours a tank?!” he taunts Gatecrasher with a raspy laugh. “Why doncha transform to robot mode and let me show you some real firepower!”

The giant revs his saw as a pair of cannons deploy over his shoulders. He takes a step toward Gatecrasher.

These prisoners weren’t your standard Decepticon soldiers- each bore unique armor, weapons, and vehicle modes.

“Come on!” one, evidently the leader, shouts to the others. “Thunderizer and Redwood have the bridge and Engineering, we get Shockwave! Them’s the orders!”

One of them was a smaller bot with a motorcycle alt-mode, armed with a grenade launcher built into his shoulder, and a slender rifle:

Another was also a smaller bot with a motorbike mode, but he had a deranged look about him and wielded a pair of dangerous-looking saws.

A third Decepticon possessed a large, bulky frame, armed with saws and an energy cannon over his right shoulder.

The fourth was a massive 'Con armed to the teeth with formidable weaponry:

Thunderizer recoils from the blows, then looks down to see that the cannon severed from his chest had been reattached by the cybermatter coursing throughout Salvation.

“Would yeh look at that…” he marvels, before turning to unleash a barrage of cannonfire at Zepar’s shield.

The guards are, naturally, alarmed by the sight of terrorcons hauling a struggling Heretic over to them. Their last experience with the undead wasn’t very pleasant, as one might recall.

Thrift shrugs.

“He seems like a good guy,” the junkion says. “Respectable, good character. Can’t see why they took away his medical license.”
