Salvation: Part II

Zepar tries to avoid the weapon while still trying to tear the head apart, hoping to destroy something vital to its functioning.

“Well, looks like I’m climbing.” Epsilon says, then looks at his gun arm, “And do it with only one hand.” He looks up, “Can anyone give me a lift, please?” He asks the group.

Atlantis’ left arm goes limb as Thrust’s shot rips into the mechanisms of its elbow, and the giant steps to the side to evade Zepar. He points his sword at the body of Hyperborea, shooting a beam if Blue Cybermatter into the automaton.

Sprocket descends so that Epsilon could grab onto him.

Zepar tries to intercept the beam.

“Thanks, Sprocket.” Epsilon said as he grabbed onto the scientist.

Thrust growls and fires at its right elbow.
“Aim for the joints!” He shouted at his brothers, who opened fire on Atlantis’ neck joint and knee joints.

The Blue Cybermatter hits Zepar like a truck- which wasn’t as bad for the health of a giant robot as it was for a human, thankfully- and the substance mends his wounds as it knocks him over.

Atlantis turns around so that the shots strike his back, producing bright sparks as the giant lumbers for another one of the keyholes in the floor.

“No problem,” Sprocket grunts as he lifts Epsilon up to the main entrance of the colony ship.

ooc: we’re still trying to take this guy down, right?
IC: Thrust shot at his neck again.

Zepar grins as he gets back up and rushes at the giant with his now-replenished strength, aiming to destroy its elbow joints with his swords.

Epsilon hops down and thanks Sprocket for the lift again before heading in to join the others.

Thrust’s shot strikes Atlantis in the neck, and the giant staggers away from the keyhole and out of Zepar’s path, tracks of Blue Cybermatter already seeping into the wound and coiling around the machine’s left arm.

The corridor beyond stood in stark contrast to the other ancient cybertronian structures our heroes had encountered, in that it had clearly been well-maintained and recently used. The gold and bronze trimmings of the intricate architecture gleam, and inert Sentinels lining the walls grip their sharpened swords loosely by their sides.

Zepar tries to adjust his course to try and get the giant to drive the sword into the keyhole.

“Okay, does anyone else get the feeling someone may currently be living in here?” Epsilon asks the group.

Thrust aims at the knees of the giant and fires, before reloading his rifle.

Atlantis sinks onto his knees as Thrust’s shots rip through his legs, and the giant drops his sword into the keyhole, twisting it to revive four more of the broken Sentinels kneeling around the arena.

“Seems like it,” Topside remarks, glancing around the hall, his curiosity tempered by his caution.

As the giant was turning the sword, Zepar went for its head again, intent to actually make some sizable damage to it.

“Bah weep granah weep nini bon!” Epsilon calls out into the hallway.

Atlantis was already beginning to mend his wounds, and Zepar’s blade slashes across his chest as he rises.

There is no response; Epsilon’s rendition of the Universal Greeting echoes down the hall.

Uh… no us kill!” Sprocket shouts in broken Ancient.

Zepar tries everything he could, dragonfire, his arm cannon, his greatswords, his secondary blades, his tail, his dragon mouth’s teeth and even his shank, anything to try and get some decent damage on this thing.

Epsilon looks and listens for any sign of response from within the ship, activating his radar to warn him if anything approaches.

“And how are we going to do that?” He asked.

Scorchlock would follow the path.

“Aw, come on!” Vigor complained.
He raised his handcannon and fired off several shots at one of the freshly awakened Sentinels.
Lightshift fired his assault rifle at another Sentinel, while Thrust fired his sniper rifle at Atlantis again.

Atlantis backs away as Zepar’s attacks carve up the armor on his legs, and Thrust’s shot strikes his side. The giant raises his sword and slashes at Zepar.

This Sentinel raises a shield to protect itself, halting in its advance while the shots strike the energy barrier.

The other Sentinel charges through Lightshift’s barrage, flashes of light popping off its armor as the bullets strike its legs and torso. The drone thrusts its sword at Lightshift’s chest once it got within its weapon’s range.

Scorchlock soon arrives at the fortress, with five sets of footsteps telling him that Zepar and company had already entered the facility.

“Motherboard sent me the location of Zepar’s search team,” ■■■■■■■■■■■■ explains. “Apparently, he believes he’s found where the next key is being kept.”

No response comes, and Epsilon’s radar picks up nothing unusual.

Topside was getting restless; this ship was fascinating, yes, but there were more pressing matters at hand- the Omega Key. He needed to find it soon, before Bludgeon and his fleet caught up to them again…

Sprocket, meanwhile, furiously types into his datapad, looking around at the ship’s extravagant architecture and comparing it to the remains of the other eight colony ships found throughout the cybertronian colony worlds.

Zepar gets hit and is throw to the side, he growls and charges at a Sentinel from behind, aiming to drive the Twilight Saber through its chest to try and kill it.

Epsilon takes a careful step into the ship, “If there’s anyone inhere, we’re just gonna look around and sorry if we break anything.”

The Sentinel facing off against Vigor is Zepar’s unlucky victim. The Dark Energon blade of the Twilight Saber hisses as it pierces the Sentinel’s chest, spreading jagged, violet veins of energy over the machine’s armor from the wound. The drone sinks to its knees.

No response comes. Topside suddenly places a finger to his temple as he receives a message from Motherboard.

“Flyby,” he says, turning to the pilot. “Get back to the ship; take her to the coordinates Motherboard’s sending to the navi-computer. One of our search teams might’ve found what we’re looking for.”

Vigor fires his handcannon at the Sentinel’s head.

Lightshift stepped to the side and dodged the attack, and he would attempt to lock up the joints on the Sentinels arm and throw him over his (Lightshift’s) hip.
