Salvation: Part II

Zepar uses this opportunity to try and bisect the Sentinel while it is stunned.

the CLUTCH drone and Shadowraker take evasive action, halting their attacks to avoid the giant sword.

Epsilon seems nervous.

The sentinel is thus cut in half at the waist, the two pieces of ancient machinery falling to the earth, inert.

The sword whizzes past the two minions.

“But as long as we don’t steal or break anything, we should be fine,” Sprocket adds.

Zepar proceeds to slash and rip apart the sentinel into as many small pieces as he could, making good on his promise that there wouldn’t be anything to salvage when he was done with it. He finishes with unleashing a torrent of focused dragonfire to try and melt the remains to slag.

the two minions resume their attacks, keeping an optic out for threats to evade.

Epsilon nods.

Thrust fired again, backing up. [quote=“Chromeharpoon, post:7149, topic:49995”]
The vines menacing Gronius and Venture are swiftly cut down, though six more sprout out of the alien soil to menace Lightshift and Vigor.

“Oh, go cry to your momma.” Vigor snapped, firing at the plants.
Lightshift chuckled as he rolled a grenade at the plants.

OOC: just for the sake of not having infinite grenades, I’m gonna say he has like 4 or 5 left.

Any chances of the Sentinel getting back up are summarily dashed.

The combined assault from the minions and Thrust forces the giant replica of Atlantis to back away, toward the comatose body of the Faux-Atlantis.

The plants menacing the Splitters are destroyed, and the explosion from the grenade throws up a hailstorm of dirt.

Sprocket and Flyby transform and fly up to the ship’s main entrance.

Zepar rushes for the faux-Atlantis’ head and tries to kill it by destroying said head.

Epsilon follows the group nervously.

Thrust searched for a weak spot on Atlantis. [quote=“Chromeharpoon, post:7195, topic:49995”]

“Alright, that solved that problem.” Lightshift said, dusting off his hands.

GC follows as well in A10 mode, going a bit slower due to his mode’s slower speeds.

The Faux-Atlantis swats at Zepar with the flat of his blade.

Gaps in the automaton’s armor left the Faux-Atlantis’ inner mechanisms exposed on many of his joints.

Those without aerial alt-modes opt to climb up the spire instead. For the flyers, the entrance into the ship automatically splits open, revealing a long corridor beyond, lit by an orange glow cast from rectangular fixtures in the ceiling.

Thrust aimed at an elbow and fired.

Zepar tries to avoid the weapon while still trying to tear the head apart, hoping to destroy something vital to its functioning.

“Well, looks like I’m climbing.” Epsilon says, then looks at his gun arm, “And do it with only one hand.” He looks up, “Can anyone give me a lift, please?” He asks the group.

Atlantis’ left arm goes limb as Thrust’s shot rips into the mechanisms of its elbow, and the giant steps to the side to evade Zepar. He points his sword at the body of Hyperborea, shooting a beam if Blue Cybermatter into the automaton.

Sprocket descends so that Epsilon could grab onto him.

Zepar tries to intercept the beam.

“Thanks, Sprocket.” Epsilon said as he grabbed onto the scientist.

Thrust growls and fires at its right elbow.
“Aim for the joints!” He shouted at his brothers, who opened fire on Atlantis’ neck joint and knee joints.

The Blue Cybermatter hits Zepar like a truck- which wasn’t as bad for the health of a giant robot as it was for a human, thankfully- and the substance mends his wounds as it knocks him over.

Atlantis turns around so that the shots strike his back, producing bright sparks as the giant lumbers for another one of the keyholes in the floor.

“No problem,” Sprocket grunts as he lifts Epsilon up to the main entrance of the colony ship.

ooc: we’re still trying to take this guy down, right?
IC: Thrust shot at his neck again.

Zepar grins as he gets back up and rushes at the giant with his now-replenished strength, aiming to destroy its elbow joints with his swords.

Epsilon hops down and thanks Sprocket for the lift again before heading in to join the others.

Thrust’s shot strikes Atlantis in the neck, and the giant staggers away from the keyhole and out of Zepar’s path, tracks of Blue Cybermatter already seeping into the wound and coiling around the machine’s left arm.

The corridor beyond stood in stark contrast to the other ancient cybertronian structures our heroes had encountered, in that it had clearly been well-maintained and recently used. The gold and bronze trimmings of the intricate architecture gleam, and inert Sentinels lining the walls grip their sharpened swords loosely by their sides.

Zepar tries to adjust his course to try and get the giant to drive the sword into the keyhole.

“Okay, does anyone else get the feeling someone may currently be living in here?” Epsilon asks the group.

Thrust aims at the knees of the giant and fires, before reloading his rifle.
