So this is my self moc Tekan, as you can see I went through 5 forms of him as I slowly upgraded him and painted his mask. Each has an updated description for them.

Tekan v.2
Tekan is a friendly toa of shadow with a second mask of shadows that contains Makutas brother. Herofactory discovered him on a dead world that they had sent a group of scientists to, they then stopped responding. After an sos signal was set off they sent alpha team to rescue the scientists. When they arrived they were attacked by a group of damaged rahkshi, Tekan then rescued them and showed them where he had hid the scientists, he then helped them to escape but was stabbed by a rahkshi adding that to his already damaged state almost killed him. When the heroes got him to herofactory they were forced to replace most of his parts due to damage and keep the mask in a testing lab to discover what it is made out of so they can repair it. When Tekan came back online he accidentally attacked another hero because her colour design caused him to register her as a rahkshi in his groggy state. He then escaped herofactory due to fear of being arrested (massive spoiler for upcoming fanfic).
Attitude: generally unemotional until he gets to know you where he, happy, sad, blames himself for a lot of stuff and will sometimes hurt himself if he hurts a close friend, has a Makuta side that will come out if someone hurts one of his friends or him the Makuta side will generally seriously injure the attacker and will kill if he doesn’t get in control fast enough or someone doesn’t stop him.
Toa type: toa of shadow.
mask power: control over shadows can see through shadows into other shadows, use them to make illusions, can teleport but really saps his energy, Makutas brother can communicate with him through the mask and help him. The reason Makutas brother is imprisoned in the mask is because when the other Makuta became jealous of mata nui he wasn’t so they imprisoned him in his mask and hid it thinking no one would find it until Tekan did.
Other attributes: has to quaza spike horns so he can live without his mask because quaza energy almost matches the energy his mask gives off, also discovered that he didn’t require the hero core after a run in with core hunter and replaced it with more armour, he has a crushing fist, an extendable plasma cannon (he replaced it himself when he found the pincer claw to be less effective while fighting) on his back and one energy crossbow

After he allowed himself to be captured he locked himself in one of the villain cells despite being told that he wasn’t in trouble, he was eventually convinced to come out and help be a hero.

His original body was finally repaired, only problem is there was no way for the scientists to repair the organic parts of his body and were forced to replace them with robotic parts, luckily there was enough organic parts to keep the body running but because of this he now has multi jointed legs, mainly becasue his legs were too large to be supported by one motor as a Knee and extra joints were added in along with supports along the back, they have some malfunctions bu not many, his body is also known to have slight malfunctions now and again, but they are never too bad.

HERO FACTORY - HERO BLOG

HISTORY:
Tekan is a friendly toa of shadow with a second mask of shadows that contains Makuta’s brother. Herofactory discovered him on a dead world that they had sent a group of scientists to, they then stopped responding. After an SOS signal was set off they sent alpha team to rescue the scientists. When they arrived they were attacked by a group of damaged rahkshi, Tekan then rescued them and showed them where he had hid the scientists, he then helped them to escape but was stabbed by a rahkshi adding that to his already damaged state almost killed him.
When the heroes got him to herofactory they were forced to replace most of his parts due to damage and keep the mask in a testing lab to discover what it is made out of so they can repair it. When they were building him a spare body they where forced to build him a smaller body then his first because that was the biggest they could make at the time due to the upgrade that they were at.
When Tekan came back on-line he accidentally attacked another hero because her colour design caused him to register her as a rahkshi in his groggy state. He then escaped herofactory due to fear of being imprisoned (massive spoiler for upcoming fanfic).
After Tekan had gone missing reports of a strange vigilante that attacked from the shadows and was taking out a lot of the crime in the city were reported. After being missing for a bit more then a month Stormer and Furno re-encountered him after a new villain (Who I might or might not make later) was reported trying to steal a spaceship and had captives that he was using as threats to get the spaceship. Stormer and Furno had been trying to figure out how to attack him without him being able to hurt his captives when he was suddenly shot at, which caused him to stumble when he dodged it, Tekan then leapt off the top of one of the surrounding buildings and smashed his crushing fist into him taking him out. He then teamed up with Stormer and Furno to defeat the villain’s henchman. After they were beaten Tekan gave himself up instead of running off or fighting back.
After Tekan was “captured” he locked himself into one of the hero factories jail cells until the other heroes convinced him that he wasn’t a “villain” or dangerous to others, they also proved it to him when they showed him that the hero he attacked was fine and she herself told him that all he had done was knock her out.
After his body was rebuilt he found out that there had been barely enough organic pieces left of his original body to keep it usable and that most of it had to be rebuilt with robotics and some parts might have slight glitches, especially the legs because of his height, he had to have extra motors built into them to support his size and extra armour plates to keep it protected because it would be his biggest weak point, but because of all of this his legs can have sudden errors where they will either lock up or start to randomly move and spaz out, luckily it can be fixed but it costs precious time and leave him open to attack.
After he was put back into his body he went to check on his mask and saw that it was less cracked but still very cracked and that the scientists still hadn’t figured out what it was made of and what could repair it. He then convinced them to let him hold it and as he did shadow energy could be seen coming off of him and going into the mask, fixing the cracks. The scientists then convinced him to let them do some tests on his powers to see if they could replicate it.
He was also put into a small team after he was “released” from his jail cell, the team slowly increased by some rather unexpected additions (who I will be making and adding!) as he was upgraded and from their missions.

Attitude towards others:
NATHANIEL ZIB - Respects him as being a successful planner and scientist but sometimes finds him to be a bit too cautious but knows that he is generally right.
PRESTON STORMER - Holds him in high regards as an excellent leader and fighter and is quite impressed by his story of beating the drone in new stellac city but finds him to be to uptight/gruff and likes to mess with him.
WILLIAM FURNO - Reminds him of Tahu who was surprisingly the toa who was the friendliest to him despite what he was and looked like, this was also surprisingly the same case with Furno, likes Furno a lot and considers him as a friend, he is quite impressed at Furno’s fighting skill.
MARK SURGE - He was surprised to meet someone who was like him in the way that they could and worry about turning evil, likes how surge acts slightly childish and likes too goof around a bit. He reminds him a bit of lewa, considers him a friend.
NATALIE BREEZ - He is was surprised to find someone who reminded him so much of gali, considers her a friend.
JIMI STRINGER - He is fascinated by stringer’s use of sound as a weapon but is also a bit put off by it because it brings up memories of some of makuta’s experiments and the time he got stuck in a bohrok sound bubble, considers him an acquaintance.
DUNCAN BULK - He is interested by how despite bulk being built for strength is more intelligent than one would guess, reminds him of onua, likes to talk/hang out with him but considers him more of an acquaintance than a friend.
NATHAN EVO - Quite likes him, is very impressed with his politeness and fighting style, considers him a friend.
JULIUS NEX - Finds him to be too much of an attention seeker and is a bit bugged by how he wants everybody to know about him on every website he’s on such as herobook, he does understand that it is part of why he was built but is till a bit irritated. Does have to admit to him being quite polite and friendly and good with tech, Doesn’t mind hanging out with him is still undecided over if he is a friend or acquaintance.
DANIEL ROCKA - Finds him to be too reckless and a possible danger to any team he’s on because of it, also doesn’t like how he keeps so many secrets but has to admit he is quite a fighter, tends to not associate with him.
Mr. MAKURO - Respects him and holds him in the same light he holds turaga (which is quite big seeing gas how important they are) seeing as how he uses his knowledge and money to make heroes for the world and for repairing him.

Being stereotyped I.e. such as how the toa acted when they first met him because he was a toa of shadow or such as how wolf stereotypes almost all male as bad(Taibu-kettu) what? its a good reference and i really like her stuff) he will generally react badly to it.
*Because of his past his term of failing has greatly increased from a normal persons, if a member of his team or even just somebody he is friends with is injured he will blame himself for not being able to protect them, if he collapses, is knocked unconscious or stops being able to operate from damage he will count it as a failure and has been known to go into the simulator unsupervised and replay a simulation of the battle/attack that took him out and put it at the highest level and allow it to batter him until he can stand up to it for longer than before, he has almost died/been extremely damaged doing this before someone found him and was able to stop the simulation, due to this he is monitored heavily by his team-mates and some others after he “failed” like this in a mission but he is somehow able to evade them and get into the simulator room, luckily he is able to be removed from it a lot faster now, he will also blame himself if a villain escapes when they try to catch him.
SKILLS: Sniper skills, strength, perseverance, use of surroundings, resourcefulness
- 19/20 of bullets shot by Tekan hit the target with 98% possibility when he is using a sniper or other weapons with scopes, not with his plasma cannon which he just strafes with.
*He can punch through most materials and if he can’t punch through it he can corrode it, if he punches someone he can send them an extremely long distance depending on their weight, and he can carry heavier objects then most, most weight he has ever picked up would be equal to a full grown elephant and he had trouble carrying it.
*He will never stop trying to complete what he has been assigned or will ever give up, which is why he discovered his maximum weight he could hold was around the weight of a full grown elephant (don’t know the actual weight) and despite how injured he may be he will continue to try and complete his mission.
*He is very good at finding sniper spots in the most random spots, making traps just from natural or other formations that are already there, and using almost everything he can to his advantage.
*Will use everything that can be used as a weapon as a weapon if he needs it, no matter how random it is and inventing weapons or traps out of almost everything.
