Lauren shrugs. “If he tries to backstab us, we sic Ideruba on him.”
“Gotcha” said Blake in agreement
“Is there anything I’m missing out?”
“That depends. You’ve met our hosts, right?”
“Yes I have”
“Then nope, you’re not missing anything.”
“Oh… ok”
Blake walks out of the room
Ideruba “I’m not a doggo.”
Ike teases “Woof woof Ideruba. Grab the ball.”
Lily “Shut up before I drink the bleach”
They shut up
“My name’s Lauren, by the way,” she says to the newcomer. “This is Ike, Ideruba, and Lily. Ideruba’s weird, Lily’s edgy, and Ike’s somehow pretty normal.”
Ideruba smiles and waves “Hope you like jazz.”
Lily “I wish the world would roll me already.”
Ike “But you can trust me to never give you up or let you down. Or possibly run around and desert you.”

“Flares won’t be useful against the hounds” Henry whispered
