I am getting some strong mecha vibe from the head alone, the rubber band does kill the flow though.

You should use one of the red rubber bands lego use in some of their sets

I quite like the useage of the Zamora sphere as an eye, and Xplode’s head frames it really well. My only concern would be what it would look like from the back, with a clearly defined face there. Great MOC!
