Glitch was sulking over the edge of the ship
Gladius walked up next to her, crouching so that he could better converse with the AI.
“Hey,” he says softly. “Sorry for scaring you earlier.”
She nods
“There’s some scary stuff happening out in the world right now,” Gladius says. “But we’re trying to stop all that.”
She nods
“Are you feeling better?”
She nods
Gladius doesn’t buy it. Glitch is rarely this quiet.
“Come on, what’s bothering you?” He asks. “You can tell me.”
“this whole ship, my whole world, it’s all because someone died.”
Gladius takes a deep breath. Glitch was correct- she and Tychon wouldn’t be here if he hadn’t tried to use the Omega Lock to save Auger.
“Don’t… don’t think like that,” the Velocitronian Knight says.
“why?”
“Because it’s not your fault Auger died,” Gladius tells Glitch. “You didn’t even exist back then.”
Or did you?
She nods
OOC:
“Don’t go beating yourself up over it,” Gladius requests. “You had nothing to do with it.”
“… still.”
“Still what?”
“he still needed to die for me to have been born, it’s unsettling, and creepy.”
“When you… look at it that way, yes,” Gladius admits, knowing full well that there really wasn’t any other way to see the situation.
They’d never believe me, Bootleg thinks. ‘Hey guys, I found out how to get the ol’ Dynamo back! Jus’ lemme waste his aft!’
“It sure is beautiful outside,” Gladius observes, trying to change the subject and make Glitch feel better.
