Transformers: Salvation

Bah weep grahna weep nini bon.” Zepar said into his comlink as he tried to connect to the signal to talk with it.

“Hello?” an accented female voice speaks in neocybex, the signal unhindered by the strange energies of the planet.

“Hello; is anyone listening? We detected your ships a moment ago. Please respond.”

This evinces a chuckle from Salvo.

“We hear you.” Zepar said, “Can you hear us?” He asked.

“Yes!” the voice exclaims. “Yes, we hear you. Who is this?”

Whoever this bot was, she seemed curious more than she did demanding. She must have been out of the loop for the past five years.

Thrust edged over next to Zepar.
“We are from the fleetcarrier(?) Salvation.” He said.
“We’re a group of…”
He looked up at Zepar.
“How would I describe us?” He asked in Ancient.
@BlackBeltGamer98

“We are from Cybertron and our larger ship has been severely damaged.” Zepar said, “Those of us who came and landed here were sent to learn if this planet was safe so our big ship can land to resupply and repair before we continue our journey.” He continued, “We have no wish to harm you or this world.”

“Well, that is certainly a relief,” the woman replies to Zepar.

“…Wait,” she says after a pause. “The other one with you- did he say your ship was named Salvation?”

“Yes.” Zepar said, “No offense but may I ask why you asked that question?”

Thrust paused.
His face was that of one who had made a mistake.
“Maybe I shouldn’t have said that.”
Lightshift shrugged.
“Maybe. But what can she do? We’re trained professionals.”
Scoffing, Vigor replied, “At what, pranks?”

“You speaking in Ancient may also be making these people suspicious.” Zepar said to the three.

“Yeah, well, we’re suspicious now.” Vigor snapped back.
Lightshift frowned. “Can it.”
He shrugged towards Zepar.
“Sorry, we’re doing it mostly out of habit.”

By the light of the Matrix…” the woman gasps in ancient cybertronian.

The commlink abruptly goes silent.

“By the light of the Matrix?” Zepar repeated in NeoCybex as the line cut.

“Uh. okay then. Anyone mind filling me in? I don’t speak ancient.”

“Well that’s certainly mysterious,” Sprocket comments.

“Thanks for the insight, State-The-Obvious Prime,” Breakout deadpans.

“while I can’t understand ancient, I could from her tone of voice at the end there, that we just rocked her world.”

“The last thing she said was 'By the light if the Matrix…” Zepar said.

“Hrm… odd” he said. “Savant? did you finish downloading the Salvation’s database?”

Sprocket nods. That much was obvious.

A burst of static echoes from one of the ancient ship’s airlocks in reply.

“I guess not.”
