Alpha entered the Shot-gun and took a seat. “So, what cheerful and jubilant topic is being discussed today?” He asks, trying to make a joke.

“Same ol’,” Lock replies.

Alpha wasn’t surprised. “Real mystery.” He said. “I honestly have no idea what to do about figuring this out.” He told them.

“With all our evidence and leads having blown up in our faces, the best we can try to do right now is try and catch this spawn of a glitch in the act,” Load says, gesturing to the holographic interface projecting from his left forearm.

Alpha shudders, the idea of either waiting for or outright baiting the culprit was one he thought of but didn’t want to share because it was too risky.

He looks at the hologram.

Load had access to just about every camera on the ship, save any that Haliaetus might have locked off for various reasons.

“Are you able to access archived footage?” Alpha asked.

“Probably,” Load says, checking to be sure.

Alpha watches to see if anything is amiss.

As does Load. He checks to see if the ship is equipped with motion trackers, just in case the mysterious murderer was using active camouflage.

There was static around the time of the deaths

Load frowns.

“Uh-oh,” he says. “Looks like the killer has access to the cameras.”

He indicates the missing footage.

Lock swears. “Who else would have access besides you and the captain?”

“Someone who is on security or knows how to disrupt such systems, a good example being stealth operatives.” Alpha said, he has read some reports of stealth operations and how they would need to be extremely good at covering their tracks during and after an operation.

@Ace Load requests that all crew members on security detail, including himself, be gathered for questioning.
