Trial of The Toa. A poem.

Unity, Duty, Destiny.
By these three virtues we live our lives.
Sworn to protect the Matoran workers of our world

Unity
Alone a toa is strong
Together we are unstoppable
When working as a team toa can overcome all

Duty
Our mission. Our purpose.
The toa’s duty is to the Matoran and Mata Nui
To protect and defend with our very lives.
No mission too great. No task too minimal.
Our duty is our greatest purpose.

Destiny
Our ultimate fate.
Few know their destiny, but all are fated to it.
It is the will of the Great Spirit to which our lives lead.
Mata Nui knows our fate, and we must achieve it.

United, duty bound, and destined to serve.
It is the trial of a toa to do what no other can.

This is really awesome!

If there was a line in here about not killing, I could definitely see this being the “Toa Code” written out.

Despite that, I’m accepting this as my personal head-canon as what’s programmed into every Toa’s mind. Well done!

Thanks! That’s exactly what I had in mind when writing this. I’m really glad that’s how it came across.

Great job. It feels like something you would actually find at the back of a bionicle magazine or something.

notice how the initials of the virtues in G2 (Duty, Unity, Destiny) spell out to be DUD ( a thing which failed to work properly)
