TTV Episode 206 Discussion

The fact that they added a smiley face at the end makes it all the more dubious.

Holy cow! Someone asked them? Not that I expect the answer to be true, because if it was they would never admit it.

Yeah. LEGO wouldn’t say anything to make people hate Disney, true or not.

In addition to what Rockho posted, Lego also mentioned the theme’s performance in these tweets:

It’s ludicrous to me.

For the record, I am not gong to support any random conspiracy theory with no real evidence, but I will say this does make a modicum of sense, considering the fact that LEGO said BIONICLE sold well: The best part of G2 was undeniably the sets. What it, rather than selling poorly, they sold phenomenally, and undercut the sale of the SW figures?

Then why were the sets always on clearance? Why were so many stores not stocking them? BIONICLE G2 had to be a failure to some degree in order for this to happen.

The entire situation is really confusing, and it frustrates me to know that we’ll never have an answer.

LEGO was moving towards Target exclusivity with BIONICLE.

Someone should ask LEGO how well the SW ultrabuilds sold. Don’t even mention G2, just how well the first wave of SW CCBS sold.

One of the best episodes, you guys actually had some really interesting perspectives to share

@Rockho and @Mesonak thank you. I don’t have twitter, and working three jobs leaves little free time to peruse Lego’s feed.
