VEX Robotics League

VEX is a high school level robotics competition that changes each year. Teams must compete to win qualifyers, moving onto their regional competitions comprised of other qualifier winners, and then on to the VEX Worlds competition. Which pits teams from around the world against each other. The current season, 2016-2017, is called Starstruck.

I created the topic because I was wondering if anyone else here was on a VEX team. And also because the 2017 VEX Worlds Competition takes place in Louiseville, Kentucky this week. So are you or have you ever been on a VEX team? Have you ever heard of VEX? Are you interested? Discuss.

I do something similar to this, but it’s called FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). It appears to be quite similar to the Vex competition, with a field on which robots try to complete various tasks and etc. My team in particular has also bought parts from Vex for our robot.

Overall neat stuff. Any pictures of your robot to share? I might be able to find some of ours…

Too bad I couldn’t get pictures from when we put the decepticon symbols on it.

The VEX website can probably tell you more about the league than I can.
