Hello Greg. I am aware that toa look the way their matoran forma Invision toa, but why didn’t the Toa Inika look like the Toa Mata or Toa Nuva do? Did the Red Star act on it’s own accord?

The lightning sent from the Red Star altered their Toa bodies. The Inika would have looked like the Toa Nuva had they been transformed by other means.
The lightning itself was a fail safe to create new Toa if they were needed from Matoran outside the Matoran Universe.
The Great Beings must have had incredible foresight…
