Connor sighed again and closed the magazine, putting it to the side. He hung his head in shame.
“I think it’s just a bunch of malarkey!” A man says to Connor “Spider-Man’s a bit of a Lothario sure, but he saves many lives, that’s what I call a hero!”

Connor smiles tiredly.
“I agree… you’re probably the first stranger I’ve heard say that. It seems like nobody appreciates a true hero these days.”
“Y-yes.” Connor replied, somewhat surprised.
“You know my daughter-“ The man pauses “Nevrmind, Daniel Botsleg, I’ve heard about you from my daughter”
“Uhh…” Connor says, confused.
“What?” The man asks
“Who’s your daughter again?” Connor asked.
“Well…” Daniel starts
“DAD!” Millie yells
“Sweetheart, there is simply no reason to yell…” Daniel sighs “That Oliver guy’s been getting to your head, I tell you!”
“Whatever! Wait, Connor, why are you here?” Millie asks

Berserker and Plague Knight continued fighting.

Toxin growled, “I’m not that easy to get rid of.” He resisted against Richard.
Connor nodded.
“Yeah. She got hurt, something with Kyro…”

“Kyro?” Daniel asks “He was a cousin of my father, my father’s other cousin’s son worked with him, he’s probably still at large…”
“No, Spider-Man killed him.” Connor replied.
He looked at Millie, his eyes filling with regret and pain.
“He killed Kyro, not his nephew, not my former best friend and coworker…” Daniel pauses “I heard you loved Isabel, beware there’s something of a curse in our family, lots of fathers have been evil, I try not to be but…”

Daniel smiles back, there’s a hint of something in there, something that tells Connor one day
