Alone in Whoville

Had a little fun trying to emulate Dr. Seuss’ style; albeit with a depressing spin

After the great Who War, the Grinch was never quite the same as before

I was hoping there’d be more references to either the book or the animated special in this piece, but even so it’s a decent execution. Is there any particular reason why Whoville got bombed out?

The vague theory I had in mind is that it had something to do with Horton the Elephant failing to protect the Speck on which Whoville is located, but I’m not sure.

I really like this fanart you made. You read Dr. Seuss too? If so have you ever read the Lorax or watched the movie of the Lorax? I really loved the musicals from the movie version.

I like to think this is long after everyone in whoville has died, but the Grinch is immortal so he’s still

Yes. Now every year he journeys down to Whoville and does his best to carry on as his friends would want him to, and he still manages to feel cheer, but it is bittersweet. He is glad to have known what it’s like to not be alone, even if only for a short while.

@Au-Plau-Se Thanks. I’m pretty sure Seuss is still going pretty strong popularity-wise. I definitely had most of the books as a kid. I also just got to be the Grinch and a Wickersham in Seussical the Musical at my college!
