Chapter Two: Traitors of The Lost
“Sir”
The Skakdi Fusion turned to see his most trusted lieutenant. If a skakdi could be trusted… Most of his soldiers would rather make a fortune then fight for the army. Perhaps it was that they always wanted immediate satisfaction instead of waiting to have their wildest dreams granted.
But The Skakdi Fusion did not care. He simply looked at Barterrakk and sighed. “What is it? Are the soldiers complaining again about my banning of dream granting? I already said it Barterrakk, and I will say it again, patience is a virtue.”
One of the soldiers in the courtyard laughed at this line, since the fusion had not one patient, or for that matter, honest, being in his form.
“Sir, it is not that. I would not come to you with a waste of time like that.”
He said this in an unusually cool tone. Even for the cold and calculating strategist that was Barterrakk. “Then what is it?”
Barterrakk stated simply “Both presences in the robot are growing stronger as we speak. One of them has even started to establish a link with the outside world.”
“What!?” The fusion was shocked. How could they called upon the outside? Were they telepathic? So many questions filled his mind. He calmed himself, looked at Barterrakk, and said,
“Then we shall get that one. There will be quite a fight if the toa have already picked up on it.”
The Golden Skinned Being was so correct. The toa had picked up on the message, but not until just then, from the lurking spies that were the Toa Hagah. “Bomonga? What are WE going to do about that?” asked Iruni. “I’m not sure, but I’ll tell you one thing. We cannot let the skakdi get to that being.”
“Why not? It’s not like their going to dream that, oh I don’t know… We were dead. The skakdi don’t even know who we are.” said Iruni
Bomonga shook his head “As much as you entertain me Iruni, I’m getting a little annoyed by you. Go tell Norik and the others about this. They will decide what to do. I’ll keep watching.”
Iruni stood there.
“I asked what WE were going to do about this.” said Iruni.
Iruni jumped off of the roof which the two Toa were hiding on and attack the Skakdi Fusion, trying to impale him with his spear. The fusion was fast though, and before Iruni could even scream, Iruni was the one impaled.
“TOA!” one of the soldiers yelled. and before you could say Makuta, Bomonga was on the defensive. Not by skakdi, but by the toa that they were trying to save. The Toa Mahri looked blankly at Bomonga, who was trying to get them to snap out of their trance.
“How dare you try to attack a being of a superior race!” yelled Hahli. and that was the noise that made the other four Toa Hagah come to the surface. They had made an encampment under the fortress in a small cave that the tall skakdi could not fit through.
Although now, it was more than obvious where they were.
“I don’t think you skakdi understand the idea of duty, so let me explain… The toa you are using as bodyguards? Those are not toa. Toa do everything in there power to fight against injustice.”
The Toa Mahri simply stared at Norik as he made his speech.
“You are not a toa… When you let others control you!”
And with those words, the Toa Mahri and skakdi struck.
