Are Voodoo Balls Included With The Toa Nuva Sets?

Are there any voodoo ball pieces in the Toa Nuva? The instructions say no, though the last page of Tahu, Onua, and Pohatu Nuva swap the bush on the back of their gear for a voodoo ball. The Toa Nuva Kaita also require these ball parts. Bottom line: are they in the official sets or is this an error?

P.S. Speaking of combo models, for Spiriah, the ‘Matoran’ should use Dark Bluish Gray legs (from Lewa); since sometimes those colours get swapped or mixed up (from experience building '05 sets).

They were extra peices.

From what I can piece together, the balls were never used on the Toa models, but they were included to be used in the ‘alternate configurations’ and the Kaita.

There were also a few black axle-pins thrown in as well for the same purposes.
