Maybe. It’s pretty old and I don’t have a white background that’s remotely big enough to contain this MOC, so I’m not quite sure how I’m gonna do that yet. I am planning to though

And staying on topic, the existence of female Bionicle characters was kinda awkward to explain. Or rather, robots having genders, if I were to put it more correctly. Also, it was hard, because there is no good explanation (official or not) for that

Just say they aren’t robots: they’re cyborgs. It’s technically true, from a certain point of view.

I just don’t explain, and then it gets forgotten about by parents.

I was watching Galidor, the first or second episode I think - there’s a scene where a giant Gorm head threatens Allegra, with her lying on the floor (caught up in some tangled wires and thus unable to escape) and screaming in fear. It was just a pretty terrifying and questionable scene. My mom walked in while that scene was on, needless to say it was indeed awkward.

I’d be ashamed if my mother caught me watching Galidor too; we have standards in this household :triumph:

Ay, Galidor itself was pretty good imo! Definitely not perfect, but I quite enjoyed it for the most part.

Then there’s me who would put Galidor-tier stuff in front of my parents just for their reaction.

I’d also like to ask a question about it, who’s the eighth one

The smaller black one is one of sloths hive mind bodies since the main can’t move really.

I’ve had to explain a few things…

I had to explain why I wanted to buy an incomplete Maxilos (robot itself was complete, there was no Spinax included). The reason I gave was that the eBay listing was a quarter of the normal price (if I recall correctly, it was something in the $25-40 range).

I had to explain why no one liked Bionicle 08, 09, and 10 (them dang joints). To this day I still am mocked by my brothers spouting off ludicrously inaccurate facts about ā€œ07 light grey jointsā€ being the ā€œstrongest ones ever made,ā€ which I have never said.

I have to explain, to this day, why I am on BrickLink so much. There’s a few sets, both Hero Factory and Bionicle, that I’m actively looking for, so I check listings somewhat often to see if anything more palatable to my budget comes up. One day, I will have Witch Doctor, Core Hunter, Onepu, and Maku, but until that day comes I must search their names on BrickLink like a ritual.

Same. I actually got temp banned by my mom from buying Legos because I bought too much stuff on EBay. Thankfully, I now have all my favorite 2007 Bionicle sets other than Maxilos, so I’ll have to find him sometime.
