I think that’s mainly because the last Bionicle sets they bootlegged involved the skrall shield (bionicle stars and glatorian)
They probably think it makes the sets blend in.

I especially love HF blister bootlegs, and always wanted to buy some.
I also saw a scaled down version somewhere. It was like real wave 1 HF, but 1.5 times smaller for some reason. Makes me think of Nanoblocks.

Actually, Lego has taken several European knockoffs and such to court abs they won almost every time.
The Chinese knockoffs however, yeesh. There are so many.
