Bionicle 2: Legends of Metru Nui

ah, my fav bonkle movie, I own it, along with mask of light and web of shadows as a trilogy box set, but this one holds memories, I loved the part were matau confused krekka by turning into nidhiki, it made me chuckle

I really love the music of all three movies. : 3
I like the part where Vakama stands alone against Makuta and when Makuta attempted to convert him. ^^

TTV have just posted their LoMN review! Any more thoughts/opinions?

I loved it, wish they’d give a commentary of the movie too.

If only @Mesonak and @IllustriousVar had recorded that group viewing they did a couple days before. :stuck_out_tongue:

I have done worse mis pronunciations of the name Morbuzakh. I used to call it the Muzzabrah. :stuck_out_tongue:

I found the video entertaining throughout. I laughed out loud several times. The voice imitations were really fun too.

I know right. Isn’t that the whole point of the exclusives forum?

My favorite part was Kongu.

In my opinion, it’s the only BIONICLE movie I would say is good on its own merit. The soundtrack is phenomenal, the CGI is good, but the plot is really where it shines, especially given the time restraints of a DTV movie. I really liked how the movie focused mainly on character development, and it is also interesting that the Toa barely ever used their elemental powers - which is a good thing, really. It’s not great, but it is certainly good by any standard.

am I the only one who noticed that their mouths didn’t move sometimes when they talked?

Yeah, it wasn’t the most finished of movies. It looks as though some of the lines were changed after the animators done with their scenes.

I just found out that Michael Dobson (aka the guy that voices Lhikan) also voices Pythor in Ninjago. I know that it doesn’t really have much to do with Legends of Metru Nui, but I thought I should mention it.

I do enjoy the part where Kongu is hung by his feet, his life threatened and ordered to reverse the flow.
“B-But the entire system might explode if I reverse the flow!”

It gets even more enjoyable when you go through the books and comics reading every line of Kongu Dialogue in that voice.

I’m now thinking of him summoning a deep sea monster in that voice

I just started reading the book, so far all I’ve gotten to is Lhikan giving the stones to all the (Soon to be) Toa.
I’ve seen the movie, so I know what happens and stuff, but I think the book will be even better.

Eh, the book are pretty hit and miss IMO. I find the LoMN novelization to be one of the weaker ones.

Definitely the best of the three, though there were a few plot holes such as why Teridax would need the mask of time if he would already be ruler (having put Mata Nui to sleep and all). But nevertheless, some of the visual effects were good, the voice acting was straight forward and they managed to put a lot of energy into their performances, and the music is outstanding.

He was going to speed up the time it took for the matoran to awaken(?)

He’s a Makuta. Isn’t he, like, immortal? (temporally speaking)
