I’m pretty sure LEGO said G1 would be connected to G2.
Does the Isle of Mata Nui on the Mask of Control in this poster confirm it?

The Island of Mata Nui on the poster is like the Mask of Life on the old preliminary images of Tahus box, its just there to make us fans excite…probably intentionally done be another fan working for LEGO.

Unless this poster is from before Okoto was designed, there’s no way Mata Nui’s a placeholder. It would make 0 sense, as they have Okoto to use. However, I also see no reason for Mata Nui to be on the Mask of Control. So I honestly don’t know what this means.

Anyway, Onua still rocks. Kopaka is still the worst G2 set so far.

It has nothing to do with color. I like his colors. It’s everything else I hate about him.

@Calvatron In other words, you’re using your personal bias to extremes. He certainly isn’t the worst G2 set, and he certainly isn’t the worst of the G2 Toa. Also, presenting an opinion without thoughts to support it makes that opinion meaningless and worthless.

if you like him, bully for you. I just don’t. His sword’s wimpy, his shape’s too thin, and his gun/shield is lame. His mask is decent, but I don’t like his arms or legs

I beg to differ. To me, color is a very important part of a set, and I very much dislike Kopaka’s colors. Rather, I like the colors, but there are too many of them.

Further more, I’m not 100% behind his upper arms. At least from the angle of the prelim pictures, they appear to not be armored very well.

I’m not saying he’s the WORST G2 set, but I wouldn’t call him the best either.

Also, assuming the poster shows finalized versions of the Toa (which it appears to be), Kopaka’s regular mask’s scope is on the correct side:
