BIONICLE 2016 Pre-Leak Speculation

@Payinku Eww nooo, I didn’t like that era in transformers. <.<
Nah that’s not what my idea was at all. I was thinking more along the lines of being able to see wires or fleshy parts inside of little exposed segments in the mask. Like, take the 2015 mask mold, split it up into regions in a non-ugly way, and you’d have something. Not human organic or fleshy… but more like organic wires and things like that… if that makes any sense.

that sounds nasty

@VictorianPanda It’s not like their masks are their faces. Their faces are their faces. Actually, scrap the whole cyborganic aesthetic. How about cybernetic aesthetics that also have portions that show little bits of the real head? Eh? Ehhhh? Sleek with techno designs.

? you want cuts in the mask? that sounds nasty to i think we should just go with a natural feel.

that’s my opinion though

Noooo, a techno looking design. I don’t want battle ravaged Tahu. XD

here you go.

a techno aesthetic ditches the tribal idea we have though

@VictorianPanda Something similar to this: http://images.pushsquare.com/news/2014/07/feature_the_ps4_destiny_diaries_day_one_why_wouldnt_you_want_to_be_a_robot/attachment/1/original.jpg

Rigid designs, basically.

yea no that ditches the entire idea of a tribal technical that’s my opinion though

@VictorianPanda That is your opinion.

BIONICLE isn’t even tribal. XD
It’s robotic with tribal aesthetics. I mean, these people have blasters for crying outloud, not to mention the Toa masks themselves already look very techno, especially Lewa’s, Kopaka’s, Tahu’s, Pohatu’s,and Gali’s. Heck, Pohatu’s looks like it could have came straight from Destiny. :stuck_out_tongue:

the core idea is Tribes no matter how you want to twist it islands and tribes

wut about that one year with the futuristic cities?

still had an odd tribal feel to it

Anyway, I’m sticking with my idea that the next upgrade we get for the masks in 2016 will be techno based. It seems highly likely since that’s what the 2015 masks were edging towards.

take into account that it’s a nature based year and the toa could be very much based around a flow

@VictorianPanda Oh, so Tahu will get dragon head shoulder pads. Pohatu will get new spiky armor aesthetics and pincer claw weapons. Kopaka will get… something. etc.

no Though i would love claws for pohatu i was thinking more

@VictorianPanda Do me a favor. Take everything related to the Nuva in your hand. You got it? Goooood. Now, throw it in that trashcan over there for the rest of the reboot and set it on fire please. Thank you.

Annnyyywayyy. If they do go with aesthetics inspired by the theme for next year, we could very well see armor that has animal-like aesthetics. Dragon Head armor add-ons, spikes and fur add-ons, scales, teeth, things like that.

No. i dont like overly terminator aesthetics. i like the nuva.

i dont think lego will go full corny with weird dragon head add ons

but hey this is all my opinion

Anyway: Continued mask aesthetics with more detail are likely for 2016. The Toa will most likely have weapon variations that are similar to their main weapons from 2015. I don’t expect a massive change in build, but LEGO might change slight features in order to increase playability performance with characters such as Lewa. It’s hard to tell if we’ll get new shells, but if we do I suspect that they’ll fill the body out better, meaning less awkward gaps and such. They might even integrate a little bit of Technic into the sets if the Star Wars constraction sets are the start of their newest technique.
