I didn’t originally plan to, but uh… well, guess it happened anyways:

I didn’t plan to. I really didn’t. But after seeing all those early super buff Artakha’s I just couldn’t resist at least trying to provide an option that’s not super buff and more like what I imagine Artakha to look like. You probably all know know how sudden motivation sometimes is. Still, three weeks for this was kinda short, especially since I needed to order some parts from Bricklink as well. As such, maybe this MOC might not be perfection, but I at least managed to build something decent, I think. As per my personal rules, this MOC uses no painted parts, no 3D-printed parts and no CCBS parts. It is possible for everyone with access to only normal Lego parts, to build it exactly like this. This MOC does (probably?) use illegal techniques. Everything is at least connect…

I’m surprised at the lack of 3D models compared to Helryx. Guess it’s because Artakha as a titan is more complex, but still.

@Eljay regarding the “painted pieces must be one color” rule, is glittery paint acceptable? The only good gold paint I can find is glittery.

So this is my entry to the Artakha contest. I don’t expect to win, I just want to participate. [artakha 1] He’s similar in height to Brutaka, maybe a little taller. I don’t have him assembled for comparison. [artakha 2] I noticed a lot of other entries had large, long hammers, so I went with a small hammer that closely resembles a real blacksmithing hammer. It’s a tool, not a weapon. [artakha 3] If need be, he could easily defend himself with it though. If Bionicle characters are strong enough to use ludicrously oversized weapons with ease, imagine what they could do with more conventionally sized weapons with minimal effort. [20200922_2040491] Behind the build: Some of you might remember my original version of this guy from a while ago. While I regrettably cannot do a similar photo shoot, much of the initial design here is the same as before, save for color changes and a few piece changes to adhere to the contest rules. Somehow, I returned… So after many years, here I am with a new topic! This is my entry into the Artakha contest! [Artakha 1] [Artakha 2] [Artakha 3] [Artakha 4] This is the first real constraction MOC I’ve made since like 2016, aside from minor adjustments to my self-MOC, and all things considered after three revisions or so, I like how he turned out! I made a bricklink order of just random cheap parts I found a couple months ago with no idea what to do with them, like those large shoulder parts for instance. Very strange piece, but it sure came in handy here. I also tried to reverse the gray/green balance from the upper limbs to the lower limbs, with green on the front and gray on the back and vice-versa. Artakha: Creator from an Ancient Era (Canon Contest #2: Meet the Maker) Lego Creations

Entry Photo: [Artakha Main] This is my version of Artakha for Canon Contest #2. I wanted to make an imposing Artakha that would not feel out of place with other Bionicle sets. For that reason, Artakha’s armor is mostly made of Constraction pieces. I used pieces with large amounts of surface detail to suggest the runes carved into his body. The head in the photos is a brick-built placeholder, which is designed to fit KhingK’s Mask of Creation. The figure is reasonably posable and incorporates some waist articulation. The epaulets are on ball joints to allow for outwards arm movement, and the fingers can move independently. Even though Artakha has been digitally rendered, every part used besides the mask is something that can be physically purchased. That is why Artakha is Metru green …
