@Eljay - Suggestion re the ‘where to submit’ confusion. Since you have a topic dedicated to listing the entrants, that is currently closed to responses; would it make more sense to ask people to link their submissions there?
That would seem more intuitive to participants, and they wouldn’t get lost in the main contest topic. Possibly not worth changing it for this round though.

Dear TTV, thank you for the new Artahka contest.
I have a few questions and would appreciate it if you could kindly answer them please.
Firstly, is it acceptable for the Artahka MOC to be any height above that of a canister set? e.g. is an Artahka entry that is a head taller than a 2009 canister set (e.g. Ackar) acceptable, or does the Artahka entry have to be the size of Brutaka or bigger? If the latter, how tall is Brutaka?
Secondly, is it acceptable to have the Artahka MOC be both sand green and another shade of green, but with an eyestalk that is a different shade (e.g. a moc with Metru green and sand green, but also a Whenua Metru eyestalk) or is the MOC limited to just the sand green and eyestalk colour or sand green and another green, but no eyestalk?

There is no specific information for Artakha, but it is known that Roodaka has a heartlight, which shows that it is not specific to just the Matoran/Toa/Turaga.
I’d say it’s fine.

Does anyone have any reference photos for the metru head? All I can find are photos in the front and side view but I can’t find any photos for the top view. I’m asking for those who want to draw proportionate masks for the art contest.
I’m not sure if this has been asked / answered, but whats the singular paintjob rule all about? It seems kinda pointless to me without context, assuming there is context.

- Yes, any size is perfectly fine. We have a recommendation and an encouragement for a particular size, but it’s not a hard rule.
- Sand green, other shade, and an eyestalk is fine.
That’s fine. We’re trying to be lenient on highlights.
It’s mostly to avoid the issue of complexity when it comes to recreation. The rules are set up to allow people to recreate winning entries as much as possible while not expressly mandating it. Multiple colors is a way of eliminating complex paint designs which may become prohibitive for younger or inexperienced fans. It keeps things accessible.

A rules-related question: in the Toa Hagah contest, does an entry need to include 2 rhotuka spinners (1 in matching metallic and 1 in Toa’s primary color) or can it be without both (or one) of them? I ask because there is no Rhotuka spinner piece in studio + some MOCers migt not own Rhotuka spinners in needed colors.
Adding to that, full dark blue Rhotoka don’t even exist, so what are we meant to do for Gaaki? Is everyone going to have to paint a spinner?

I’d just use this spinner. Gaaki came with a silver spinner as a Rahaga so it’s reasonable for her primary spinner to be a mixture of blue and silver. Something similar could apply to the dark gray spinner that came with Bomonga.

Dear TTV, I would like some clarification regarding the contest. Should the written parts of the contest entry be in American English or British English? In addition, my contest entry has breakdown pictures for the Artahka MOC’s armour as well as Artahka’s body parts. Is it acceptable for me to refer to each piece of armour by its correct name if I provide a bracket description of what that armour is? For example “Breakdown of pauldrons (shoulder armour)” ? Thank you in anticipation.

While the site is predominantly American, the use of British English is perfectly acceptable. God save the Queen, and all that. And I would think that most members of the boards have enough critical thinking skills to understand through context which sections of armour are which; extra clarification can be added later if need be.
