BIONICLE: Mask of Control App

New music from the soundtrack that may or may not be used in Journey to One (probably will, because they’ve used the main track for the character spots)

The weird sound at the end is Uxar :stuck_out_tongue:

The app is not available in the US app store. :frowning:

It is still almost nowhere available if I am correct.

Canada for the win, plebeians.
I think I’ve said it before, but it’s a good game. Wish there were more Toa, but it’s fine. I got three stars in all the levels, and I’ve almost completed upgrading my Toa.

So now that the game is out in then US and for Apple devices, here’s my thoughts:

  • Really fun, like so fun I’ve played it during school in Study Hall
  • Beautiful art design to match JtO and wonderful animations, not to mention the soundtrack
  • More content than Mask of Creation
  • Difficult gameplay that is a double edged sword

Let me explain that last one. The difficulty of the game is far above Mask of Creation, and I welcome that since now I can’t blaze through the game and I feel like I am learning and satisfied when I beat an opponent. However, it got too hard too quick and there are moments of “What the heck?!” thrown in such as:

  • Not knowing when an opponent is going to attack, resulting in you being launched from him. When you attack again, the enemy most of the time attacks again and he chain continues until you’ve lost half your health.
  • Chip damage is rediculous
  • When you go into Unity mode, the villains decide to go Super Saiyan and begin to do every move hey have that wastes time and drains your bar, so you get only one or two good hits in with extra power

So without those I feel it would be better, but I totally love it!

Also, it feels like Mortal Kombat X on mobile!

I personally like the game due to its difficulty. While the learning curve is rather steep, the enemies actually get harder, which was a problem in MoCr. And the unexpected attacks and severe increase in difficulty while unified make it feel more like an actual combat situation; you have to keep your guard up and can’t just blindly smash away like you could in MoCr. I still don’t like the way the toa are all clones (though for some reason I do best when fielding Pohatu) but I’ll let it slide for the moment. LEGO, you did us proud!

They just leap out of the screen’s view when their health is depleted… :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyone else thinks the block button is completely useless? Especially in the later levels you can block all you want but their attacks still do a sh*tton of damage. Especially Skull Basher who likes to do 3 heavy attacks in a row leaving me with half my health despite blocking and he is only the first guy in the fight.

You can’t just hold the button. It’s faint, but you’ll see a flash of light as they’re charging. That’s when you block.

Really? Might have to try that out then. I can’t remember that ever being explained in the tutorials but maybe i’m just dumb. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh it’s never explained. I had to figure it out myself

If you block when you are at just a sliver of health, your health won’t deplete. So if you are up against a really strong guy and about to die, just block and wait for your creature to charge, and do that over and over and over and over. It actually works!

Ok, so I know there’s a way to extract APKs in order to obtain the models inside (seen it happen with the Mask of Creation game), but here’s the problem…
I DON’T KNOW HOW TO DO THAT
See, I want to try my hand at animation, and would LOVE to use the Mask of Control models in this thing because they’re premade, and gonna be a bit easier to animate.
If anyone has any ideas as to how to do this, please, let me know.

Good golly goblins it all makes since now. I think all the toa of this generation are unnamed polybags from the first generation. Its the only logical explantion.

I’ll be honest, the graphics look like trash.

Like I know it’s really hard to really get a good model in mobile game graphics but the black borders and bright colors do not help whatsoever.

No one said that for JtO. I’d say the models are almost identical to the show, albeit lower quality.
